Joe Rogan is back on Youtube. Anyone have an idea what's going on?

Maybe the exclusivity contract ran out? It could've been just exclusive long enough that people got used to going to Spotify so now that it's over he'll just post them on both platforms.
Last month [Spotify] renewed its deal with Rogan for a reported $250 million payout over several years (but no longer exclusive rights)
Holy shit that's insane. They're paying him $250 million and everybody's going to watch it on youtube instead.
Maybe youtube ad money goes to spotify or youtube is paying spotify or something like that?
Watching the video version on Spotify was the worst video player experience I've had online since RealPlayer in the 90s-00s. Glad it is back on youtube.
Ha, I'd forgotten that name. Thank the gods for VLC
As a member of the MPC-BE Master Race, I'm appalled that some people not only use VLC, but actually admit to using it.
Both of them are bad and behind what we should have in todays time.
mpv.io
I didn't even know media player classic is still around
Sometimes after logging in to Spotify to check out Rogan I'd say 'fuck it' and close the browser in disgust.
So my first thought was he has some minimum view count in his contract and was googling his ratings and found about his new contract.
I listen to him on Spotify audio only so it doesn't eat all my data (while mobile, of course). Can't do that on Youtube.
You can with Newpipe
This is what I was going to say, YouTube is probably just fair game now, hopefully he starts doing full on rumble too just to tell the censors to fuck off or take it all.
I think Spotify is counting on the ways lots of people consume Podcasts. For me, it's often in my car. Spotify works perfectly with my stereo system for that. Youtube? Not so much.
Controlled op is controlled op. They will never silence a mockingbird.
I remember when people called Tucker Carlson 'controlled opposition' for questioning the Kraken.
The times we live in be great as only the calling for violent revolution could now be seen as an uncontrolled op.
He never left?
Only his full podcasts are on Spotify.Clips are still posted to YouTube.Edit: Oops the full episodes are really back!
From 1st March 2024 and only staggered by a few hours his full clips seem to be back on YouTube.
Episodes 2111 up till 2124 so far.
It seems that full clips are now posted to Youtube.
He probably signed a promotional deal with Youtube as well, because I heard him recommend the Youtube history function of signed in accounts. This struck me as very peculiar, until I heard about the return to Youtube.
Creepy.
Im guessing some kinda time exclusivity. Maybe first post on spotify and then 3 or 5 days later can post anywhere else.
Fuck YouTube. They censor comments. They've been deleting my comments, and they aren't even really offensive. Go to Rumble. YouTube is gaaaaaaay.
