Most Irish don't even speak it, let alone fluently. Doesn't help that they're further fractured into multiple rather distinct dialects. Only like 2% use it daily. Flooding the country with 3rd worlders who sure as shit won't learn it doesn't exactly help either.
She probably would have to hire a translator to write her speech. Then hire another translator to translate it back to English in parliament.

Yea, AFAIK the problem is that manufacturers don't want to increase production. It's expensive, takes years to build new factories and last time they did it prices crashed and they got stuck holding the bag. So they'd rather ride the current high.
Our only "hope" is that the AI bubble pops. The fact that this is a real possibility is another reason why manufacturers don't want to invest in more factories.
