Nah. The radical left will be happy that "an attempt was made", especially when Pelosi eventually blames Republicans for her own decision. The rank & file will believe her without question and will just assume you're wrong or lying if you point out the truth of the matter while being too lazy to check into it.
The bill being brought to the floor was a staged event, with nobody ever thinking it would go anywhere. Both parties have pulled this tactic before.
I know of several conservative Brahmin Indians (coworkers or past coworkers) and of my Jewish friends and co-workers half are conservative and half are liberal. Shoot, I had a Jewish Uber driver last week who was ready to start the second Civil War already to fight what the Dems have been up to. Stop making enemies based on stereotypes.
Is that what happened? Assuming you've got an accurate read... nope. Like I said, I'm tired of every thread being dominated by "all the women in the world are out to get me" or "it's all the Rothschilds" or the ever fun out and out racism.
I am not advocating for silencing anybody. Free speech means everybody gets to speak. But with what goes on around here I frankly see this place as a shitposting forum at this point.
I don't post much here b/c it's gone from politics to 95% crazy fringe conspiracy theory nonsense. I actually agree with the frustration Ragnar_Danneskjold is expressing in his post. It's hard to have reasonable discussions or convince the unconvinced when the guy behind you is REEEEING just as loud as the people you oppose.
I've read dozens of the books they've published, but quality seems to have gone down since Jim Baen died. I'd warn people that if you start any of the older series expect to be disappointed by poor or non-existent conclusions.
I've dabbled in table-top system creation, so mostly stick to home-brew content for systems that are close to what I want now. I also used to be somewhat active in the RPG Maker community creating pixel art. Currently I've been dabbling with making my own pokemon fan-game with a bit of a South Florida theme to it.
I'm using a Razer Basilisk that I bought at a discount and am liking it right now. I don't do competitive gaming so I'm not worried about having a wired mouse.
I used to use the Logitech G602 as I liked the weight of the mouse and it fit my hand quite well, but my last one wore out quite quickly and I've noticed some quality issues with Logitech mice in general the past few years.
As another alumni of PBAU I'm going to have to say there is nothing sacred about that chapel or the school in general. Shoot, the chapel was specifically funded b/c the previous location was too small and students (for whom attendance a certain number of times a semester is mandatory) could not fit into the room. The new building cost millions, was built as a vanity project and could seat about 70% of the number of people as the previous location.
Latin American immigrants voting liberal has not been my experience, but most of my friends are legal and either have become citizens or are working towards it.
Shoot, the one guy I know who was here illegally has since gotten a proper Visa and recently called out another friend for refusing to call COVID the Wuhan virus.
Dont use gang related behavior in Blue cities as your basis. Also remember that there are varied cultures. We dont want mass, unrestricted immigration but I think we should be working on building relationships with the nations to our south.
Or just ignore like most people ignore flu vaccines, unless you're at high risk of complications if you do catch it due to age and/or poor health.
