Mystique doesn't wear clothes a lot of the time, it's all just her body changing shape.

They actually did answer this in the comic, the answer is she isn't powerful enough. Someone else was but that character died fighting Storm.

what's stopping her from making less intrusive and complex changes to her body like changing the shape and size of her brain? Or of copying the genes of a different mutant to mimic his powers

Simple answer is she isn't powerful enough. The concept of an "omega mutant" was changed recently to mean the most powerful mutant with that power. The omega version of Mystique was shown on another comic in the last couple of years fighting Storm and not only changed appearances to look like Storm but could use her powers.

Storm ofc wins the fight because she's turned into more of a Mary Sue than ever, most recently taking out 2 of Apocalypse's children, his actual biological children this time who were his first Four Horsemen, one after the other. Her whole story is just one win after another and trying to take the moral high ground over everyone else and failing because it constantly leads to various fuckups.

The Ultimate 1610 universe Reed Richards did exactly that with his brain, however. The big helmet he wears is more to hide the fact his head isn't normal looking anymore.

So they made his trans parents a modern Sherlock's enemy with the power to see the future instead of being intelligent.

About that, another comic in the last year or so involving these two ended up establishing them as "the real Sherlock Holmes". Mystique would pretend to be a man, Destiny used her visions to figure things out 🙄

"You cannot be serious."

"Yes I can. I just choose not to... some of the time."

Space Dandy, you don't need to worry about keeping track of any continuity between episodes because the episodes don't even do that.

Part of the problem is with so many retcons in the comics some of those characters are depicted as anti-heroes rather than villains, similar to the attempt to retcon Thanos into one in Eternals by claiming, if indirectly, that his actions w were to stop civilisations going extinct when a Celestial is born and emerges from a planet, destroying it.

Galactus has been written in a very similar way before where the reason for him consuming worlds was to stop something inside of them hatching. Basically a galaxy wide pest controller.

Same thing ended up happening with the guy who played Mickey in Doctor Who from the Eccleston episodes onwards.

Basically the "How many narcissists does it take to change a light bulb?"

One, they just hold it in place and expect the world to revolve around them to screw it in place.

Because most are console players, or worse phone "gamers".

Or a modded out Xcom 2 that is... not happy with the abuse you've caused it.

Sadly accurate. I really need to figure out what causes Avengers defence missions to just hang in my playthroughs because not only does it obviously prevent me from playing, but I actually really enjoy those missions so it's not like I want to simply skip them to avoid the problem.

The counter argument to that will be Sheik who first appeared in Ocarina of Time in 1998, despite it being a disguise and nothing else.

Ganon to be played by Terry Crews in a bad wig!

The line is said by Samuel L Jackson, btw.

So she'll now be a "misunderstood villain" that gets redeemed at the very end, right? Because that's what this always ends up being.

Inb4 "Slightly Punctuated" where everything is shouted thereby requiring the use of exclamation points.

Miles is meant to be half black and half latino. Strangely that never gets focused on by these writers who ironically only ever care about skin colour.

Ah yes, Silk. Another character created by Dan Slott, who was retconned in as having been bitten by the same spider as Peter, who has better powers than Peter since she not only still has her organic web shooters but can use them to create her costume as needed in multiple colours, and as of the recent Spider-Verse comic, written by Slott ofc, turns out to be more important than Peter.

Speaking of that comic, Slott used it to retcon in yet another new character, Spider-Boy.

A reminder that Chloe Bennett from Agents of SHIELD is Asian. The show being touted as having "two leading female Asian characters" made me wonder who the second was alongside Ming-Na because apart from Chun-Li/Mulan none of the other actors, male or female, we're the obvious candidate for the second.
