Maybe platforms claiming to be free speech should be forthright about why they're banning certain forms of free speech instead of attempting to be moral fags or disingenuous[1] about U.S. laws, assuming liability is the impetus.

1 - This includes not linking to laws that have provisions that may be contrary to illegality, or were struck down in applicability.

Oh, and this argument is also a larp to begin with because I see moral fags in this thread push this liability argument while simultaneously decrying it for ethical reasons in other comments, and labelling everyone that can be even bothered to put up any argument about why censorship might be a bad thing a pedo.

Plenty of condescending little fucks 'lurking' about.

They're really taking the piss out of us, aren't they?

Global depopulation agenda at it again with the sex realignment slope.

Guy_Incognito76 is reading between the lines:

The criminal complaint detailing the charges against Blomme alleges that he sent no less than 27 images and videos of child sexual abuse, using the messaging app Kik. In disturbing fashion, the complaint alleges that the abusive acts depicted in the material occurred in a Cottage Grove home owned by Blomme and his husband. The couple are the adoptive parents of two children.

It's technically possible that the acts were performed on other children instead. OP is highlighting that potential discrepancy, even if it's likely that the adopted were the victims.

Are you sure it's rap and hip-hop that dominates culture? If anything, I'd say it's pop music, which is artificially designed to be quick, snappy, and appeal to the lowest common denominator of the human brain...which seems to be the premise of your post and I agree.

Bits of rock, gangsta rap, and the like might fall under the umbrella, but I don't think rap culture is as big today as it was under past eras like that of Notorious BIG and Tupac.

Personally, I despise lyrics altogether and prefer instrumental music like that from Explosions in the Sky. However, it's slightly niche. I don't even like Japanese, Korean, or other voices, including opera, despite listening to classical occasional.

Welcome back! I was wondering where you were for the last month.

I don't think we're entitled to the same retail service, unfortunately.

One might be able to save enough money from the piracy that they can pony up for a realistic sex doll.

Apparently they're only $5K or so. I don't know if that's cheap or expensive for a creature suffering from notrealitis, but it's an option, and AI is constantly evolving, y'know.

Both it and the CCP vaccine have come under fire lately for safety reasons. Multiple countries (Austria, Denmark, Iceland, Italy, Norway among others) have suspended or restricted its use. In contrast, Pfizer had Tiffany Dover and more news in January, I believe.

Probably there are cases all over, all the time, that don't come to our attention for various reasons, including potential media suppression. The WHO is still supporting them, of course:

“Yes, we should continue using the AstraZeneca vaccine,” WHO’s spokeswoman Margaret Harris said on Friday. “There is no indication to not use it.”

What does this all means? Who knows. Anecdotes themselves are statistically low in terms of medical risk, and vaccines can trigger preexisting conditions despite it being a real concern, but similarly, we don't know the long-term effects because this is obviously an emergency vaccine, rather than one that has gone through a rigorous and extended (e.g. 5+ years) trial, so we can't dismiss it as a statistical anomaly either.

Why are you such a misogynist? Why aren't you being an ally to the endangered people that is half of the world's population?

The invention of "hate crimes" was a mistake, and unfortunately I can envision a similar fate for "misogyny" because women must be put on a pedestal for progressive means.

"Equality" indeed.

Remember, it's about 'equity'. But, of course, the purported 'inequity' is exaggerated and only applied one-sidedly.

I wasn't entirely sold on expanding the rink but I've never played hockey, so I am less informed.

Don Cherry though is an easy agreement. How they kicked him out is disgraceful, but unsurprising; CBC and Canadian government is massively cucked, and unfortunately the comments that I read of 'hockey fans' was very uninspiring.

Stopped following sports entirely many years ago due to the time investment being implausible. Never regretted it. I stream the NFL occasionally, but there are limited days and it's a sport where athletes try to kill each other, so there's that.

Edit: Canadian government instead of 'Canada'.

Already doing my job! It's easy too, with alternative options (if one must):

  • NFL, NHL, etc.? Stream it.
  • Movie? Book? Game? Pirate it.
  • Console? Homebrew it.

Boycotting sports, Hollywood, and woke companies that are in luxury entertainment is one of the easiest things you can do.

People have dilemmas when it comes to mega-retail corporations, which becomes tricky to navigate. Not the case for these examples...and I do believe we can expect it to come to fruition.

It'll be more difficult, of course, if they require the pass for public transportation like buses, trains, and domestic flights. We'll see if they go to that extent.

DNA1 18 points ago +18 / -0

The idea of digital passes being used isn't new. After all, international flights have increasingly demanded passenger proof.

That draconian measure being extended to visiting the theater, events supported by Ticketmaster and similar companies, the evils of Walt Disney parks, and other public spaces has been speculated about for the better part of 1 year.

Fans of the Brooklyn Nets and New York Rangers, however, are among early proof of concepts of what this may look like.

Edit: Added Rangers.

Not having financial freedom doesn't exactly give many options, does it?

I'd obviously still change a lot of things, but the end result wouldn't be hugely different relatively speaking.

IMO NIO is the real deal, and I'm hedging most of my IRA on it playing out as such over the next 4 years. Chinese market is massive and they might be profitable by EOY. Getting to the next level after that might be hard, but they have a lot of tech.

Unfortunately, I pretty much hate most companies so I can't apply principles. Wall Street is a dirty, filthy place that saps all morals. All most can hope for is to come out of it well enough to retire early, never mind the debris.

You're doing fine, though I don't have the stomach for crypto. As long as you aren't putting up loses or bleeding on margin, that makes you a wise investor. Compare this to me missing out on cashing out on Fisker's post-Foxconn bump...got a bit too greedy, it didn't make the jump to where it should have, and my potential gains got completely ruined by a mostly Red February. Now I'm waiting for it to go back to its peak so I can offload the warrants and shares and engage in dirty profit-taking games.

DNA1 3 points ago +3 / -0

Still don't quite understand how they made a profit,

They didn't back when I was considering it. Don't know about their financials now, but it's all a scam. Almost at $70 now, ROFL.

I'm heavily into EVs and February was a really, really bad month for growth stocks. Apparently the worst since the Dot Com bust. They'll recover, but I have to roll my eyes at TWTR outperforming - strike price wise - my entire portfolio atm. That'll correct itself long-term for sure, but is annoying.

I have full understanding of the taxes, risks etc involved

Got it. Echo your same sentiments about WSBets btw, there's no point in visiting it. For a while it was just being spammed by a few users for some Matrix chat room, think it got cut down on, but either the experience was lackluster.

I wanted to short Twitter a while back, when it was originally bloated at ~$40. It dropped all the way down to ~$15, but I don't invest on margin and so didn't capitalize on it.

Are you doing this in an IRA account? It doesn't sound like you're investing much money, but you can't take advantage of capital gains tax unless you hold onto positions for 12 months or something like that; depending on your income bracket, that might be bad.

This judge is a real piece of work.

"I have concluded that the respondent's behaviour is dictated by his world view. Everything else is subordinate to that view, including, but not limited to, his love for his children," the decision by Justice King read.

I respectfully disagree. For a super "straight" club, it had a lot of lesbians coming out of the wood works. A lot. There were a fair share of 'LGBT guys' too, but the lesbians were a very large group.

And, coincidentally, people unironically went out of their way to distinguish 'good' feminism from the 'bad'. When these comments were being made, the only satire being bandied about was rape and how 'heteronormativity' is a minority.

As a whole, I agree, most 'normal' Plebbitors went sight-seeing for the novelty. But the subreddit was clearly getting astro-turfed, and I think even harder after I last visited it.

Pretty sure they were comments, but you have too many to dig through. Here are a few example posts, skimming your history:

Worse halves is a good phrase, but crow-barred here.

The comments were where you're - probably intentionally - being overly flippant, underscoring "X done by women" is bad because they're women, when you should be seeking out a behavioral or societal pattern and underscoring that, and ignoring all the other fluff.

Stuff like how the Wuhan Flu happened and it's women who are the most oppressed is great. Classics like unfairness of divorce proceedings, prison sentence disparity (including pedophilia), employer-based affirmative action despite them being basically half the fucking population, bad-faith equal pay arguments, etc.? Also great.

There were a few really scathing comments made by other posters on the fraud that is feminism; unfortunately I didn't save them so I'd have to dig thorough old threads to find them but they were extremely effective to any non-completely brainwashed audience. Your reviving that TERF rad-fem shit? Brilliant, fits along those lines perfectly.

There should be a pretty blatant connection from the example to the ugliness of the man-hating agenda that is feminism. If you see Antonio arguing with you, chances are you've left too many holes in your argument, intentionally or otherwise, which is no good. I'd stay away from that or present an iron-clad case.
