He was paid not to joke about things on everyone's mind. Who sponsored his special, Netflix, HBO?

I have donated to them in the past. Because I thought it was important that Linus and Greg Kroah-Hartman get paid for working on a project that has enriched my life and career. I imagine there are a lot of boomer and gen X neck beards, who felt similarly and that keeps the donations rolling in.

However, when I saw the Foundation putting Linus in timeout, and getting involved in vaccine passport systems then I was pretty much done with the Foundation.

They named it Red Hat, because Marc Ewing was always wearing a red hat around the CMU campus. So it was sort of his nickname. i.e. "the guy in the red hat, fixed my computer."

I didn't say anything about her pulling the trigger and staging the crime scene herself. I said there are a lot of signs pointing to her involvement in his possible murder.

There is a PI Tom Grant, hired by her, to watch Kurt that believes Kurt was murdered. He also has stated there are too many logical contradictions in this case such as Kurt having such a large dose of heroin that he would have been unable to pull the trigger himself.

Someone alleges that Courtney offered them $50,000 to kill Kurt. Her father suspects that Courtney had something to do with his murder. The books and documentaries on the subject allege that local law enforcement ruled it a suicide without a real thorough investigation.

There is enough motive and plausibility that Courtney, also a druggie piece of shit, had something to do with an alleged murder, ruled suicide by investigators, of her husband. I don't think everybody coming to that conclusion, is necessarily a navel gazing fanboy.

Many people believe Kurt didn't kill himself and that a lot of signs point to Courtney having something to do with it.

I think the first season was pretty good.

99% of the reason for tuning in was the music composition though. The whole gimmick and appeal of the show is that it manipulates your emotions with familiar songs that have been recomposed to be a bit unfamiliar.

Is there a video of the trial somewhere online?

There are pathological organizations, just as there are pathological people. In general, the purpose of a business is to generate a return on investment for its stakeholders.

Facebook, et. al. (Google, Twitter) aren't playing just for money. You're right, they have some ideological axe to grind and are playing a political power game.

I have said this before to smoothbrains who like to parrot, "its a private company they can do what they want". Google, or Facebook, censoring on behalf of the CCP isn't effectively any different than direct censorship by the CCP. Its just censorship by proxy from the CCP. The same goes if its private company censorship at the behest of the US government.

Engagement for their platform means more eyeballs on ads. Eyeballs on ads means more money. The goal of every business is to make money.

The answer they were probably looking for was something like: "I would publish under a feature flag so that I could test on A/B populations."

That is literally the spirit of the law.

Simon Tolkien is apparently an advisor for the Amzn adaptation.

I wonder, why is he letting them shit all over his father's and grandfather's hard work?

It was grandpa's favorite cartridge for good reason.

Most young adults are pretty stupid. The brain is still developing at that age.

I would agree that they aren't kids at that age. Shouldn't have to coddle them, or treat them as if they're young children. But the majority of them will not have reached adult level maturity by 22, either.

~20K upvotes was a magic number on Reddit which usually indicated a post's promotion was not organic. It was being promoted by bots, or click farms.

I know that is happening. I just don't have it in writing, yet.

It was about 2%. There were 46K in the trial. This page just shows the adverse events.

CaptPenguin 18 points ago +18 / -0

It was 42000/46000 (91%) adverse events for the trial that lasted one, maybe two, months.

There is another management theory, called Theory X/Theory Y. In summary, if one treats their personnel like children they act like children.

I am not claiming that is what is happening here. But it is interesting to observe both their childish race/gender objections while also claiming they are being unfairly treated like children.

There is this concept in management called situational leadership. Not all employees need the same amount of direction. They all exist on a spectrum of ability and willingness.

As a manager, one does not need spend a lot of effort directing high skilled and willing employees. That effort is better spent guiding willing employees that lack the ability, or finding some way to motivate able employees that are unwilling to do work.

I haven't seen one entity/org./person claiming that Joe Rogan is spreading misinformation and then identifying the false statements that he is allegedly spreading. What information is he spreading that is false? Who is keeping you from rebutting his false information?
