Effective immediately I am removing the fortunes-off binary package from fortune-mod in Ubuntu. If someone wants to make the case that some of this content is worthy of continued distribution, let them bear the burden of demonstrating that it is, on a case-by-case basis, appropriate to do so.

Not shocked though, there's a lot of woke in Linux, especially here. I got rid of Ubuntu earlier this year for Fedora on my desktop. I'm sure they suck somehow too, but it's at least nice to have better updates.
They named it Red Hat, because Marc Ewing was always wearing a red hat around the CMU campus. So it was sort of his nickname. i.e. "the guy in the red hat, fixed my computer."

Used to be called "Red Hat" linux back in the late '90s/early '00s and the logo was a red fedora. Then was renamed to "Fedora Core" some years later.
