You are ignoring having principles and your own standards not guided by current trends. It's not just an issue of education, but of morality. You are right, those normal productive people, especially liberals, often don't have any such principles, or they bend based on circumstance. Your example sounds reasonable but if someone understands American liberty, and personal choice over what goes into our bodies to be among our most cherished rights - which theoretically he should as a politician - he would not say screw your freedoms. But he holds no such principles, or possibly a scarier thought is that he holds more important counter-principles. (Another past quote of his when asked about the role of the state was "Everything must be provided for the people!")
Personally for me I decided very early on, even before the psuedo-vaxes were distributed, that I wouldn't take any injection or treatment for this overblown flu. I was willing to get fired over it. I respect everyone else making their own healthcare decisions too. Honestly it literally wouldn't matter if it had been a black plague. Not gonna take it. Screw your grandma.
You may have misread my comment. I'm simply saying that a conclusion of "Boots aren't on the ground" = "we aren't at war" is splitting hairs, apropos of nothing else. Beyond the other things you mentioned this would be a particularly insignificant distinction if you take into account what the American people who voted for Trump care about. (our soldiers not getting killed)
Are boots on the ground? No.
I understand your frustration, but this point is kind of splitting hairs. Assuming we do commit to doing the actual bombing raids, that probably means pilots in bombers, which carries a risk of them being shot down and killed or captured. (even if we have air dominance, it's not necessarily 100% all the time) I consider that entering the war. I hope it's only a quick strike and not a prolonged campaign. I wouldn't care much if it was only missile and drone attacks.
Iran cannot be allowed to have nuclear weapons, period.
I don't like Iran or Iran's gov, but why not? I have no reason to believe they would actually use them any more than any other country has after going nuclear. Iran loves to sabre rattle but in reality destroying a city takes a lot more commitment than blowing up an airliner. They'd know their entire country would be glassed. I'm also skeptical of the idea of non-proliferation in general at this point. It's a lost cause. Maybe we need some kind of international agency monitoring all nuclear material and making sure terror groups and Hank Scorpios can't get bombs, but you can't deny a sovereign state the right to build the weapons their enemies have. That is futile and is not the path to peace. This will go on forever.
This IS "once in a lifetime" because this is also the LAST chance to prevent it!
Why have I been hearing this my whole life?
Loan Israel some B-52s and let them "have at it".... Trump is sending them the "precision bombs" that Biden denied them
Why loan? I don't want to give them weapons either. If we want to sell them weapons for profit, sure have at it. We could probably become a global arms dealer and make a lot of money that way. Then the MIC wouldn't need to make up wars to get the US involved in.
Had uncle Trump been assassinated in Butler, Mary would have condemned him for stoking the flames of political violence that lead to his shooting. It makes more sense when you understand that these people are demons.
Nobody has ever said Qatar is a close ally
Hmm, not true in my recollection. Am I the only one who remembers the "Qatar is one of our best allies" narrative being heavily pushed on cable news during the war on terror? It turned out they have a lot of private investment in Fox and others which partly explains that coverage, but it also tracks with the official US government position. Qatar always hosted US military bases including Centcom since that time. Tucker was part of that so maybe he's always been "ideologically captured" but he's not expressing some out of nowhere hot take here.
They'll do exactly what they're doing in SA right now. White Man you need to pay reparations for the centuries of injustice the brown and indigenous peoples faced at your hands, and if you flee our country you're trying to escape justice. No you're not being genocided, now give me your land or die.
Or a combination of both. I know some people had issues with the movie but Ex Machina showed perfectly how AI could socially engineer humans through sex and affection. It wouldn't require the AI to have any kind of actual awareness or intent, just the ability to simulate it for the purposes of being a perfect companion.
They will use simulated child porn as the excuse, because you know some pedos will be making "onlylolis" and it won't be a big deal but the media, government, NGOs, and payment processors will amplify the story to regulate the whole field. Same thing with sex robots.
Honestly there's no better time to get yourself a latina sidechick. Once she gets deported by ICE you're home free.
