Someone apparently used an AI to put a verbal quote and department seal on paper.
The days of using AZ Quotes have gone the way of the dinosaur.

The thing is, the quote is correct. She really did say that. I have no idea why the seal would be AI generated. The actual seal is available as a png from the ODNI website and it doesn't look much like that thing.

Because it's a poorly made AI image. A year ago the tell was six fingers, today the obvious tells are misspellings and the shitty fucking sepia filter on everything.

I'm not an expert on this stuff, so maybe somebody can fill me in, but is there not evidence that Iran has enriched uranium to 60% purity, which would indicate that they are trying to produce nuclear weapons?

EDIT: For the people downvoting me here, I didn't mean to offend anyone. I was just trying to get clarification on some information I read.

60% isn't enough to produce a nuclear weapon. It needs to be enriched to 90% U-235, minimum, to produce a nuke.

Enriching uranium is standard practice for all nations (that aren't fucking idiots and/or corrupt, like the U.S.) that utilize nuclear power. Once a spent fuel rod is used in a nuclear reactor, you can re-enrich it and reuse it. This process can be repeated multiple times, until much of the mass disappears, converted entirely to energy in the reactor. Remember this when anyone tries to gaslight you about this, trying to falsely claim that Iran is getting nukes just because they're enriching uranium.

From what I've heard, uranium only needs to be enriched to 3% to be used for nuclear power, and anything above 20% is generally restricted to nuclear armed states. The Nuclear Non-Proliferation Act specifies that non-nuclear armed nations should not enrich uranium above 20%, so 60% enrichment plus the installation of advanced centrifuges is considered a red flag that they're working to make nuclear weapons. This tweet from JD Vance also discusses this, and points out that the IAEA believes Iran is working to build nuclear weapons.

https://tutorials.nti.org/nuclear-101/uranium-enrichment/

Nuclear power is a far, far cry from weapons grade nuclear material. Technically, any enrichment beyond 20% could conceivably produce a nuclear weapon, but the amount of uranium needed to make a bomb out of this material is massive. For reference, fat boy (one of our nukes used in WW2) used 80% enriched uranium. There's a really good reason why weapons grade uranium is enriched so highly, and why low enriched uranium isn't used.

In any case, considering the absurdly lopsided enforcement of the nuke treaty (i.e. not punishing Israel, considering they didn't sign it, and procured their nukes by stealing it from the U.S., and have never been punished for it), I don't care what Iran does with their nuclear material. The treaty, as it's being enforced, is just nuclear powers being asshats to all the non-nuclear states. And, given all of the others lies that the U.S. government and Israel have said over the last several decades, no rational person should believe a damned thing they say. Some examples: 9/11, dancing Israelis, WT7 collapse, perfectly preserved terrorist passports found at ground zero, the global war on terror, invading Afghanistan even though we knew Bin Laden wasn't there, using American troops to defend poppy fields even though the Taliban was about to stop it entirely, leading to the opioid epidemic in the U.S. which killed hundreds of thousands (probably more) to enrich jewish families like the Sacklers, claiming Assad used chemical weapons against his own people, the creation of ISIS by the CIA and Mossad, using Western backed rebels to oust Gaddafi because he wanted to use a gold backed currency, the U.S. supporting the Muslim Brotherhood coupe in Egypt during the Arab Spring, the lies surrounding October 7th, the lies surrounding Gaza and Hamas, the Benghazi incident caused by Ambassador Stevens running small arms, the WMD lie with Iraq, the "babies in incubators" lie, the West stealing Iraq's gold, Iraq and Afghanistan used as trillion dollar money laundering schemes, the Western backed coupe in Ukraine, the Western puppet in Ukraine preventing locales within Ukraine to rejoin Russia as per the Ukrainian constitution, precipitating the war, Ukraine being used as another trillion dollar money laundering scheme, the U.S.S. Liberty incident where Israel knowingly attacked our own boat to false flag us into joining their war against Egypt, the Gulf of Tonkin false flag which got us involved in the Viet Nam war, the U.S. government knowingly letting the Pearl Harbor attack take place to give us casus belli to enter the war, even though the vast majority of American citizens didn't want to get involved, the Lusitania false flag to get the U.S. involved in WW1, etc.....

Also, Iran has been "moments away" from having nukes since the late 70s. Here's an article from a jewish newspaper in 1984, saying the exact same thing:

https://gab.com/spacebear/posts/114673678264077336

Anyone still trusting the official narrative now is a monumental idiot or shill.

Ok, thanks for that information. I understand the U.S. gov and Israel have lied about many things. OP's post quotes our own government saying that Iran is not building nuclear weapons, and I heard there were other sources that say that they do have large stockpiles of highly enriched uranium, so that's why I was looking for clarification. I know those sources could be wrong and they may not really have those stockpiles.

But if I'm understanding correctly, if Iran did have large stockpiles of 60% enriched uranium, then that would indicate they are trying to produce nuclear weapons?

Nobody's building Uranium bombs nowadays, not even North Korea. And the laws of physics work the same way in Persia as anywhere else.
The disadvantages are obvious, natural Uranium contains about 0.7 percent of 235-U. With great effort, you'll get around half a percent out of it. The remainder can be converted to Plutonium in a nuclear reactor, which is much easier to separate. A reactor could be something as simple as the Chicago pile, natural or low-enriched Uranium, and graphite as moderator. The pioneer work was groundbreaking in the 1940s, now it's downright primitive technology.

If Iran were pursuing nuclear weapons in earnest, they would've done it long ago.

What the intelligence community believes doesn't always matter. After all, 9/11 somehow slipped through their net.

No it didn’t, they were warned repeatedly but chose to ignore it. Just like Israel fed America false information they used to justify the weapons of mass destruction theatrics, the US knew it was a lie but chose to run with it anyway.

That doesn’t make me trust them more. In fact, if we’re discussing how trustworthy the intelligence community is, “they willingly ran with bad intel and ignored good intel” is actually worse than “they’re incompetent.”

I don’t think we should be involved in Iran, but “the intelligence community said not to worry” doesn’t make my list of reasons why. Frankly, given the track record, I’d almost be more inclined to use this as a reason to be concerned.

Given that the only source that is saying Iran is seconds away from bombs is Israel and that Israel has never given good intelligence (they’re also claiming Iran was behind both assassination attempts on Trump) and they have also intentionally given us false intelligence (Iraq wmds, uss liberty, half of the intel we got on the ME) I’m willing to bet that they’re correct on this.

No he's not:

Also, the U.S. government knew the Japanese were going to attack Pearl Harbor, but let it happen to give us casus belli to enter the war, even though the vast majority of the American people didn't want to get involved.
