The Star Trek I grew up with always depicted Starfeet Academy as a super strict place where every cadet is put through the ringer to ensure only the best of the best could pass muster, where every graduate comes out with a tungsten rod up their ass and has to learn through service when and how to relax. Can't wait to hear how this show makes it into a gay adult daycare like modern colleges.
… how? They can’t procreate. They are male but are created for battle not procreation. they have incredibly short lifespans. They have a drug addiction to keep them from turning on their masters.
picardo who plays the The Doctor on Voyager (aka the hologram doc) is apparently in the show, I don't know if it's the same character, don't care. If I ever feel the need for some star trek, I'll just go outside and get a fucking life.
Pretty sure he's playing a descendant of the real doctor who invented the EMH and made it look like himself, like how Brent Spiner has played several different Soong's who all looked the same.
Watch two of the relationships break up mid-season and the guys console each other by going out to an interspecies bar and having a train run on each other.
They kept trying with the Trill symbiont but it never takes, turns out you're not suppose to insert the symbiont in your butt. It doesn't work that way, now matter how it's shaped!
This might be a jest, but your comment has actually been ringing true for various shows quite often, just with the female characters instead. According to GLAAD, it's easier for the general public to digest.
But they will absolutely start moving in the direction of more aggressively pushing the male-male dynamic you outline if they haven't already.
Netflix is the worst. Even with all the Saudi and Blackrock money backing them up, Paramount would have needed WB properties to attract an audience in order to sustain them. Netflix is printing money just by being Netflix. They'll be able to get five times the watch minutes for all this woke trash just by having it on their service because normies are too lazy to look for alternatives.
You have a point, the dependency to make the franchises profitable MIGHT have made Paramount less woke than Netflix. They SOMEHOW made Picard season 3 after all the shit before it.
Paramount wanted WB so badly because that much original IP under one banner might have been enough to make their streaming service a viable competitor for Netflix, which is the same reason Netflix worked so hard to stop it happening. Now, they're going to remain the only game in town, and that means they don't have to give a shit about the quality of their content: just the volume.
In terms of subs, they are somewhat comparable, but not in terms of actual minutes watched. How many of those D+ subscribers barely use it, or are just using it as a babysitter while they make dinner? Netflix is absolutely dominating Disney in terms of the actual watch hours.
I would say paramount has more palatable American properties. All good things on Netflix are bought from overseas and eventually ruined. It’s like comparing 2016 shitty woke tv slop to 2025 everything is gay shitty woke tv slop though.
That's more to do with their original role having extremely high mortality rates. "Honoured Elder" titles for those who live to 20 were exceedingly rare. DS9 only really mentioned them once when Dax spoke with a Jemhadar during the Iconian Gate mission, then later in the episode the runabout shrinks one of the invading Jemhadar was an Honoured Elder but still only Third or something. Without a life purely focused around combat the lifespan may end up far higher than expected.
It's still going to be done extremely poorly in this show, however.
Enterprise wasn't a reboot. It was a prequel which they successfully and canonically tied in to both TOS and TNG.
Enterprise had good ratings in their fourth season. It was cancelled because the network they were on had a change in management during their fourth season and the new CEO had a seething hatred for sci-fi so the first thing he did was cancel Enterprise despite it's good ratings.
Third season was amazing. Fourth was unique in that it had 3-4 episodes of one continuous plot. It was very good, so long as you ignored the last episode.
Overall, Enterprise was good. I consider it the end of Star Trek. Anything after is garbage.
I love Enterprise. Season 3 is definitely the best. I don't get why people seem to hate seasons 1 and 2 so much. I think they are good.
A lot of people say season 4 is the best. I don't necessarily agree. I think they spent too much time in season 4 trying to connect it to the TOS. Bringing in Brent Spiner for an augment arc, explaining why the Klingons look the way they do in TOS, using their mirror episodes to explain what happened to the Defiant from TOS. I think the only wholly original stories that season had were the Vulcan arc, Romulan arc, and Terra Prime two parter.

diversity ✔️
interracial relationship ✔️
interspecies relationship ✔️
we all know the Klingon is a black man so let's have a black woman as his partner so we're not accused of white women stealing a good black man ✔️✔️
two guys buttfucking each other with their eyes on the poster like it's a commercial for HIV prevention meds? ❌
You're slipping paramount.
You missed this point.
Commence mocking. No, really. Mock this retarded idea because it deserves mocking for breaking established lore that fucking much.
The argument I heard was she’s halfsies.

Nothing makes sense on Nu-Trek!
Wait, this is real? Not a parody or meme? 🙀
upcoming Star Trek: Starfleet Academy
the Mass Effect: Andromeda of Star Trek.

He's the backup program from an one off story. Search for "battleship Voyager "

Honestly I thought there were two Klingons at first
Which is woker? Paramount or Netflix since both were gunning to take WB and make adaptations worse than a porn parody.

Eh 300 million Netflix vs 200 million Disney + Hulu (Disney owns Hulu now).
Netflix would be in deep shit if Disnay wasn't Disgay.
Hulu actually had some good shows with attractive actors before Disney, probably not anymore though.

They turned Starfleet Academy into High School Musical and I want the franchise to die.
Something, something, theatre kids.
All public school arts programs should be banned at this point for radicalization.
I think Glee is a highly underated inflection point in the leftist takeover of mainstream culture.
You're right on that. It's the cultural coup by the fucking theater twinks.
This show is going to be such a literal shitshow.
There's a female Jem'Hadar.
A race previously not only entirely male, but one that reproduces through cloning and as such DIDN'T NEED FEMALES IN THE FIRST PLACE!
A race that lives for 10 to 15 years, and she's been teaching for 25 years.

this is what happens when you try to make shows for faggots and girls lol..
Voyager's ending was where they tried to scuttle classic Trek and reboot with Enterprise.
By the fourth season they realized this was a mistake. They never recovered.

/sets phaser to maximum and shoot self
To boldly miscegenate where no one has… come before.
As it been said by people since the first trailer. StarTrek 90210.
This thing ignored almost all of the cannon material.
Don't worry, they'll still lean hard on nostalgia because the actual substance of the show will be lacking.
The white guy is a faggot, calling it
