Kinda amusing, but a lot more nauseating for me. Everything in there is accurate, but the bit that's not said:
Cuomo was governor of NY for a decade, and spent that time actually doing everything in the ad, and much, much worse.
Nuke them all from orbit, then drop a couple more orbital nukes for good measure. And I still wouldn't be sure.
The problem I see here is using AI to depict a real person doing and saying things that they did not do or say. There will be a legal blow up over this at some point, I don't know if it'll be this ad but it'll be something like it.
In Quebec, a news organisation was blamed for showing a fictional representation of money given and a handshake to illustrate an accusation against a political figure.
It was obviously misleading people by ''showing it happening''.
Now this AI video is a political campaing add, not a journalist investigation. But I still think it wouldn't fly in court.
It's incredible how the quality of this AI slop is almost indistinguishable from a guy who's username is DonPBongwater and shitposts about YouTube drama.

I don’t see how that statistic about legalizing prostitution could possibly be true. LEGALIZING it causes an exponential 70% increase in trafficking? I’ve been on the side of logic that it actually SHOULD be legalized and regulated. If two people wanna exchange $200 and jump each other that’s not my business, but now I’m kinda backtracking on that if this data is accurate

Legal or otherwise it incentivizes organised crime, and the women end up either literal or practical slaves. A "legal" prostitution ring is also the best possible cover for trafficking underage and eventually children.
It would need to be regulated the hell out of, and the regulators would need to, in turn, also be regulated because of bribery or oversight concerns.

That's a shitty argument that can be used for anything:

Everything where money or property is exchanged creates a profit motive for crimes.
There are jurisdictions where they've legalized prostitution but pimping is still a crime. On paper, that leaves more resources to go after the organized, criminal part. And the victims can report it without fear of charges of their own.
Only one form of legalisation has been proven to increase the amount of child trafficking. But if factual data is a shitty argument to you, you do you.

Technically, yes, but you could define literally every increase as exponential if you view it that way, hence the term losing its meaning. In popular vernacular it used to mean a ten-fold or more increase.
See now, if you use exponential the other way it's a way of saying the increase is consistent with even higher values of x.

While I can't say it is true, I can see how it could be true: it's easier to hide illegal prostitution in a pile of legal prostitution than it is on its own.
