x^0.1 is technically an exponential increase...
Technically, yes, but you could define literally every increase as exponential if you view it that way, hence the term losing its meaning. In popular vernacular it used to mean a ten-fold or more increase.
See now, if you use exponential the other way it's a way of saying the increase is consistent with even higher values of x.
So they're just saying that if you were to make prostitution double plus legal trafficking would actually go up 189%
Well no, it'd be an exponential decrease in that case. But I get what you're going for.
