People like that guy have been told, over and over again, how to really stop mass shootings, but they DO NOT WANT TO HEAR IT.
They want to use the shootings as a moral club to beat gun owners with, and because of that, I don't give a shit what they have to say.
This isn't fear. This is manipulation. Whenever the right suggests protecting kids the same way we protect money (with armed guards), the left fights the suggestion tooth and nail.
