Good lord, Wheel of Time was renewed for a third season? Everyone I know hated season 1 (or never checked it out) and I had not heard a peep about there even being a season 2. Ugh.
Moiranne and Siuan's relationship is central to the story
Which is impressive since one of them isn't in most of the books because most people think she's dead, and the other dies because of her own retardedness thinking she's avoided fate so ignores Min's prophecy about needing to always stay near Gareth for their own sakes. Unsurprisingly being a former Amyrlin she's far too arrogant to actually take the advice of another which leads to numerous fuckups, as literally every single Amyrlin does in the books, including both her own and subsequently Gareth's deaths. Yay, stronk and independent wammen!
If it's the same guy he also said Egwene was his favourite character, and considering she also gets herself killed at the end, and others, it highlights the pattern the show focuses on of incompetent and insane characters who can't actually lead getting everyone else killed for stupid reasons.
Eh, she finally figures out something she's been told months ago, "it's only a weave", and turns into a giant crystal statue. There were a lot more climactic deaths during The Last Battle like Lan vs Demandred, but also so many literal throwaway one liners that took out previously "major" secondary characters like Davram Bashere who get written out while Rand looks on as if watching tv. But then again that entire chapter was longer than some books so a lot of people die and not all of them do in positively memorable ways.
So the book mentions her being pillow friends and it doesn’t dwell on it but he thinks that is important? She isn’t in a good chunk of the books and ends up with a man but I doubt they will show that. Also didn’t they race swap Avienda? Will the three women be into Rand?
Ah, but don't you understand the world needs to be ruled by secret lesbians who all fuck each other and control every man in the world because even the ones who can't channel are going to cause problems and therefore much be chained like a'dam. Ignore the fact literally everything that goes wrong in the story is the fault of women like the Dark One being freed by Lanfear Ages ago because she was petty and jealous Lews Therin loved another woman instead.
I think I read the three love interest thing isn't happening. I think they race swapped the Aiel in general. They said it didn't make sense for desert people to be tall, white, and red-haired. But that was the point of the Aiel, they didn't belong in the desert.

lol, lmao as the kids say. JFC these retards really are so lacking in depth they can't get past literal skin deep context.
That doesn’t make sense but the small town Rand comes from that has had zero contact with the outside for generations being super diverse makes sense? In the books Rand is described as different than others in the town. Kind of ruins it when it looks like NYC. Either way either adapt the book or don’t. Smh.
The irony that the Billy Zane brief is going to be the better adaptation and that was only done at the last minute to retain the rights to the franchise.
Of course the list is fake, it's based on rotten tomato reviews. This isn't a list of what people are watching, it's an advertisement showing what they want people to watch.
I saw Reacher, wasn't bad I just liked there was a guy that could match and overpower him physically.
Still yet to watch the latest season of invincible, it's on the back-burner but the others especially Severance I see advertised to ad nauseum that I makes me NOT want to watch them.
did you also watch the earlier seasons of Reacher?
i liked S1, and started watching S2, but never finished it (just stopped being interested, not hated it).
Is S3 more like S1 or S2?
Most of what I watch is early 00s and prior (rule of thumb is to be wary of anything after 2014). A list of popular 70s shows would have more shows that I watch.
Yeah I'd say around the time of the first LOTR trilogy was peak cinema and it's gone downhill from there. There's exceptions, of course, but the general trend is wokeness started picking up around then
How many of you have seen (any of) the shows on this 'Most Popular TV Shows Now' list?
Let's take a look.
Adolescence
Nope, and considering the race swapping done if you look up the basic info about it nobody should bother with this blatant propaganda.
The Studio
Literally has Seth Rogen on the front of the pic, why the ever loving clusterfuck would anyone go beyond that point?
The Residence
Nope
Daredevil: Born Again
Nope, didn't watch the original series etiher. Screams of MCU panic to try and bring back previously successful material after not only cancelling it and other projects but then shitting on it further in She-Hulk by having DD cameo in that.
Severance
Nope, but I do remember a movie of the same name which apparently has nothing to do with this.
Good American Family
Nope
The White Lotus
Nope
Mobland
Nope
Ludwig
Nope, David Mitchell was never entertaining to me so why would I bother now when I didn't bother with any of his previous works?
Dope Thief
LOL
Wheel of Time
LOLNO, but I did read the books and still have them from probably 10-20 years ago now
Long Bright River
Nope
Invincible
Nope, but I read the comic so don't need to bother with the shitshow that is yet another shitty Seth Rogen puff piece adapting popular material to yet more shit
Dark Winds
Nope
Reacher
Nope, didn't watch the earlier seasons either because by the time I started picking up on it the main actor had already decided to sperg on social media and virtue signal like a retard
Paradise
Nope
Happy Face
Nope
Caugtht
Nope
The Pitt
Nope, looks like it's trying to lean hard on E.R. nostalgia by having Noah Wyle in yet another hospital show
The Righteous Gemstones
Nope
Zero Day
Nope
Yellowjackets
Nope
Side Quest
Nope
Common Side Effects
Nope
Mid-Century Modern
Nope
And you know what? I don't feel like I've missed anything in the slightest.
No, I have not. Maybe it's just me and the fact that I tend to be really selective about what I will watch or play, but almost all these shows are new names to me or things I have little interest in.
There's tons of old shows out there, and I can hardly imagine that there are tons of tv shows that will likely vanish into the ether, doubly so when they are really old things. I found out once that the TV show with the most episodes ever is a german fairy tale anthology series.
When I sit down to dinner I watch Perry Mason. Seems like an odd choice, but I'd rather explore content before my time than most series released today. Plus his opponent district attorney always loses, and it's entertaining to watch him get triggered after thinking he's sure to win.
Looking forward to eventually getting to All in the Family. Then maybe back to Night Court.
Rather than have I watched, let's play "have I even heard of it". And that list is as follows: Adolescence (regretfully heard about), Daredevil, Severance, Wheel of Time, Invincible and Reacher.
Only ones there I've seen is first two seasons of Invincible, and the original Netflix Daredevil, not this one.
Saw the first two seasons of Reacher. First was pretty good, second was mediocre, and was hard to take seriously as a former Army MP. I didn't even know a third season was out yet. That a Terminal List I think are the only live action TV shows I've watched in the last 5 or so years. My watching of stuff is pretty much 99.9% old movies and anime now.
I actually watched Severance and have seen bits and pieces of a couple of the others. The first season of Severance was okay, but I think it went off the rails in the second season. I probably won't keep watching when they drop the third season.
It had an interesting premise- what if you really could just blank out all the time you spend at work, but doing so meant you created an alter ego whose whole existence was doing your job (sounds like hell). There were a bunch of mysteries and open plot points in season 1 that were largely resolved unsatisfactorily in season 2.
I haven’t seen any, although I’ve at least heard enough about Adolescence, Daredevil, White Lotus, Severance, and Invincible to not doubt their inclusion. Reacher and Wheel of Time I’ve only really heard mentioned by one person. Yellowjackets, I saw a promo for. The rest, I’ve never even heard of.
The list is probably accurate enough, maybe with an asterisk or two and a few places shifted depending on when exactly you do the count of viewers and which data source you use. My own lack of knowledge of most of these shows could certainly be personal to me, but I suspect it’s more representative of the fact that nominally right-wing culture is still very divorced from the mainstream, and that even among “normies,” there are so many different streaming services and segmentations that we really don’t have any universal pop culture like we used to. The various properties that Disney has gobbled up and run into the ground were probably the last hurrah of the massively-viewed blockbusters.
Dark Winds is a reasonably acceptable adaptation of a series of books about tribal police on the Navajo reservation in the 1970s. There aren't any land acknowledgements or excessive 2020s sensibilities in the first season (I haven't seen the other two yet, didn't realize the third season was airing).
I've seen some of Reacher season 3 since the wife enjoys it for obvious reasons. A good little action show otherwise ruined by a "strong, no nonsense" woman character who is basically getting everyone in more trouble or killed because she feels rescuing some girl is more important than everything else.
Otherwise I've only even heard of 4, 2 of those just in passing "hey I recognize the title."

"We saved the girl!"
"Everyone else died."
"But we saved the girl!"
"There is nobody left to protect her or this place should anyone show up."
Good lord, Wheel of Time was renewed for a third season? Everyone I know hated season 1 (or never checked it out) and I had not heard a peep about there even being a season 2. Ugh.
I extracted myself from the online WoT fan base over season 1. Had no idea they'd gotten season 2, either!
The less I hear about that show the better, honestly. I just like to pretend it doesn't exist.
Same here. The showrunnner completely butchers the source material and openly said he cared more about lgbt representation
He recently came out saying Moirane and Siuan's relationship is central to the story. That faggot never read one of the WOT books.
Which is impressive since one of them isn't in most of the books because most people think she's dead, and the other dies because of her own retardedness thinking she's avoided fate so ignores Min's prophecy about needing to always stay near Gareth for their own sakes. Egwene is my least favorite character, but damn does she have a boss death
Eh, she finally figures out something she's been told months ago, "it's only a weave", and turns into a giant crystal statue. It even goes against their usual tripe if is their skin color central to the story. Here it is and they still defend it.

i read that it was 3 seasons initially, so no renew happening yet. no clue if that is correct, cause I dont watch it
Found an old one from five months ago, and it claimed that Disney's Agatha was the nr. 2 streaming show.
This is supposedly nr. 3: The Residence: Season 1.
There is no way Aunt Jemima Detective is number three in the country.
Of course the list is fake, it's based on rotten tomato reviews. This isn't a list of what people are watching, it's an advertisement showing what they want people to watch.
Oh it's the New York Times best seller list
I saw Reacher, wasn't bad I just liked there was a guy that could match and overpower him physically.

Bit more like season 1
I don't watch goyslop.
Then what do you watch Ricky?
I've seen Zero and have barely heard of most.
But I mostly consume live sports and rewatch old movies from the 90 and the aughts.

I’ve heard of 4 of these shows, not watched, just heard.
Literally 0 of them lol. Then again I rarely watch anything made after 2010 with my family so I'm not surprised.
We are watching through naruto right now with our kidos.
No, I have not. Maybe it's just me and the fact that I tend to be really selective about what I will watch or play, but almost all these shows are new names to me or things I have little interest in.

Mason is okay. It's interesting to see the birth of all the courtroom drama tropes. That theme song still holds up.
Thankfully none of them.
None, and hadn’t heard of half of them.
Forget seeing them, I haven't even heard of most of these.
I watch both Severance and Invincible. Neither are particularly good.
Rather than have I watched, let's play "have I even heard of it". And that list is as follows: Adolescence (regretfully heard about), Daredevil, Severance, Wheel of Time, Invincible and Reacher.
