I am further convinced that there is no such thing as "overreaction" to whiffs of woke. We are all just so very tired of it, and are now so very good at recognizing it the moment it first appears that we smash it into the ground immediately in retaliation. It’s too late for KCD2 to fail now. They did a good job holding the woke until right before release. People are definitely going to point to its inevitable success as a data point in favor of more woke games.
You can watch 9 out of 10 woke games fail, but lefties will still hold up number 10 as proof that woke games are the future.
Also, the most successful chapter in any franchise is the one immediately following the best chapter. People need to be duped by at least one bad chapter before they withdraw their support from an IP.
So, random thought: I bought KCD 1 on Steam at some point during a sale. I think I've launched it once, but never actually played it. I wonder if it would be worth it to refund it, and if I ever decide I want to play it, grabbing an 'alternative' copy?

KCD 1 is a good albeit still janky game. Like @GoldenInnosStatue already said you can't refund it anyway so play it. And speaking of Innos you should play Gothic 1 & 2. Two of the best RPGs of all time.

Well, no, the Bentley is only a small part of it, he made about 250 mil CZK (roughly US$ 10 mil) off the first game, that buys you plenty of Bentleys.
I don't think it was cope. This is a pretty extreme 180 from the first game and there was a lot of conflicting evidence about the leaks, so a week or so ago it made sense to wait and not jump to conclusions. I was suspicious of the initial Musa leak because it seemed too perfectly on the nose to be real.
With clear evidence, obviously anyone rational has since jumped ship. I never preordered thankfully, but I pulled the game from my wishlist and will never buy it. I usually wouldn't bother leaving a comment to say I changed my mind, but if you want to know where everyone is, the answer is still here. But everyone looks the same now that we're all in agreement.
if a game is not woke, just say publicly that is not woke when inquired by a fan
if you want to play safe state that you don't think there is anything woke in the game. you can play ball in multiple ways at that point and you can turn a defeat into a success if you play your cards well.
when the reaction is not the above the game is likely gonna be woke. we will see.

Its more likely they got an early copy, saw the scene and then discussed with Gayhorse studio about its removal, it was rumoured weeks ago but now Gayhorse studio said they will not remove the scene hence why the game gets banned there (all digital sales have been refunded)
