I remember that my mother was watching TV, and I overheard this commercial about some show that showed viral internet videos. The ad said something like "Before Threads, and even before TikTok, these internet videos (etc)...", and I'm just like... what the fuck is threads? And this was like, RIGHT when Threads became a thing. They astroturfed the fuck out of it everywhere, like it was really some legitimate social media site that everyone was using.

I prefer those commercials over the ones I get on Amazon's free programming. They're always the same -- Something something Mr. Beast, followed by Obamacare, followed by "take these pills if you like having lots of uncontrolled gay sex." Not joking.

They need to just ban them ALL from the U.S. market, but nobody is talking about banning Chinese shopping apps like SHEIN, Temu, or CapCut, which collect ALL THE SAME user data.
So why not ban those apps? ... Because you can't politically organize on those apps. You can't "notice" things on those apps. This is about eliminating forums that allow us to escape (((Western))) censorship. It's not about "privacy." TikTok and Telegram never asked me for a credit card or my home address, unlike the shopping apps, so why not ban those first? Again, it's about controlling political narratives.

Well, I hate the CCP and I don't live in an abstract, theorical world to think otherwise. I live according to the facts. If facts aren't your forte then perhaps ambling into conversations requiring them shouldn't be your thing.
Here are some more facts: the CCP is an anti-Western dictatorship with a criminal culture that's incompatible with the West. They're not "good" for each other. China is undermining the West with slave labor, and now it's dumping cheap EVs into Europe, decimating local competitors who don't have slaves of their own to build their cars. The list goes on, but China must be stopped and excluded from Western economies until they agree to play on equal terms.
