Eh. If they're posting Rainbow propaganda, no. But if they're posting divisive anti-American, pro-immigrant rhetoric, I'm sure the CCP monitors will be fine with this. It all depends if they're willing to compromise on one to max out on the other. It's possible.
TikTok was censoring criticism of the US security state, e.g. Glenn Greenwald's criticism of the NATO war against Russia.
I remember that my mother was watching TV, and I overheard this commercial about some show that showed viral internet videos. The ad said something like "Before Threads, and even before TikTok, these internet videos (etc)...", and I'm just like... what the fuck is threads? And this was like, RIGHT when Threads became a thing. They astroturfed the fuck out of it everywhere, like it was really some legitimate social media site that everyone was using.
"What do you mean, buddy? We've always been on Threads. Threads has always been here. Let's get you signed up. One of us!"
I prefer those commercials over the ones I get on Amazon's free programming. They're always the same -- Something something Mr. Beast, followed by Obamacare, followed by "take these pills if you like having lots of uncontrolled gay sex." Not joking.

Bluesky is already losing steam. It's down about 35% from its peak.

For better or worse, Twitter is where the party happens.
All these alt platforms, even Gab and Truth Social, turn into homogenous echo chambers.
Twitter has a lot of inertial keeping it going but it still has an awful censorship problem. Truth has censorship too.
Gab is better in many respects and it has shown staying power. It might be an echo chamber, but only because libtards can't handle opinions they don't agree with so they refuse to even try. They can have Bluesky where they can be miserable together.
Down 35% from its peak means that it went from a rounding error to a rounding error.
