When I lived in Nashville I almost took an IT position for TSC but something better came along. If I had taken the job, and was still there today, I would have quit. I'm not one of those insufferable sys admins who go around saying "This company wouldn't function without me!" and I doubt me leaving that position would matter much but I am willing to leave when the rot sets in.

All of you are correct that these people never stop subverting. However, when the environment is made to be explicitly oppressive to them, many will self-terminate. You have to remember the circumstances that allowed them to infiltrate in the first place - complacent conservatives who didn't see any harm in doing "just a little more" because "it just made sense." We are not in that era any more. If they are made to feel unwelcome and their careers stagnate, they will see the writing on the wall.

What isn't mentioned often is that these diversity action hires aren't just dead weight.
Hiring an extra 5% diversity doesn't just mean there's 5% more overhead (at least), it means the competent people leave.
