I don't care about the gun or his drugs and hookers. I care about 10% for the big guy

China and Ukraine paid him millions. Joe Biden definitely took more than 10% of that for himself. Those corrupt crooks should be tried for treason.

Yet no one investigates any of that. I hate modern politics

Curiously, Hunter was paying above market rates for rent for the Delaware house (the same one where they found classified docs from when Joe was VP.) I'm sure that was shrewd business skills by Joe and not at all a way to launder money back to him.

Joe Biden definitely took more than 10% of that for himself.

I don't think that matters or was the case. Joe's is the only reason any of these sweetheart deals existed, he could have asked for 90% and gotten it.

When you're as old as Joe and your public finances are scrutinized, there's no point to it anyways. You can't spend it. The money is going to go to your heirs, so might as well have them collect directly. The 10% was IMO just so that he'd have oversight on everything, so his family members collecting in his name have to keep him in the loop, so they can't go try and do side deals and potentially get their dumbasses caught when they get too greedy.

In case this behavior is unfamiliar to anyone, this is the literal description of how a mafia operates.

I care that China was ready and able to blackmail Hunter for sleeping with an underage prostitute.

I care that the sitting president's son was co-opted by a foreign, socialist nation.

America is already a nation occupied by a hostile foreign elite. Worrying about China is peak boomertardism.

Nah didn’t you hear? Biden would never let his drug-addled degenerate fuckwit of a son ruin his good name and reputation. We all know that cocaine in the White House was probably planted by some dirty Trump supporter

Now for a extremely lenient sentence to prove that no one's "above the law" and then forget every other illegal thing he's done.

The judge may pleasantly surprise us. She's the reason the sweetheart plea deal they tried to cut him before blew up.

Maybe she's just a fair judge, not an anti-Biden judge.

Besides, there are some questions about the constitutionality of this.

This is literally the only reason this was allowed to happen. They will do this, and then it will allow their buddies in the media to use it to legitimize what they have done, are doing, and will continuing doing - not just to Trump - but to their political enemies.

Also, they will put off his sentencing til something like August or September, then - regardless of which way the election is allowed to go - he will be pardoned by The Big Guy shortly after the election.

I'm not sure what the realpolitik is behind bizarrely prosecuting him for something very few normal people are prosecuted for while not prosecuting him for the things he got away with just because of who he is -- in order to prove that the rule of law still exists.

No logic there.

From a totally naive perspective, I would just say it speaks to how cases are originated. There are probably a few people who have written books about drug addition describing a time period in which a record can be found of them purchasing a weapon. But I guess somebody said "go charge Little Biden with something because he's a well known violator."

Never forget also the simple angle of just attacking guns and painting guns as tools of violent crackheads.

This to be used only as an example. "See we are fair! We even convict the son of the President. Trump's trial was fair too!"

Right, the "gun case".

Not the "having photos and videos of him doing drugs with underage hookers case", for some reason...

See that would beg the question of where did the hookers come from and who were their other johns. And the powers that be don't want those questions asked.

The same people demanding "gun control" laws would also be completely fine with the president's drug-addicted son illegally owning a gun.

He'll choose his political career over his son every time. If he loses, he will pardon. Otherwise, I'm not so sure.

Why wouldn't he pardon him when he has already won? Nothing anybody can do about it at that point and his career is over anyway after his presidency because of his age.

It would cost him political capital to go back on a promise. It matters even for a lame-duck.

If he pardons Hunter, he's putting family above politics.

This is like getting Al Capone for tax evasion. It's better than nothing but I want to see him and the Big Guy fry for treason. Hopefully the judge jails his ass. She did blow up the sweetheart plea deal they tried to arrange for him before.

To add to some good takes, to me this says for sure Joe Biden isn't running the show anymore.

He's been protecting his little crime family for half a century and stole an election, but now he can't get his son off from relatively minor charges? He would if he could.

I think the deeps have looked at the polls and faced with having to cheat in like ten states this time and risk armed conflict they're going to make the Bidens the fall guy and deal with Trump some other way.

He can't get his son off on minor charges, but no one's prosecuting him for having sex with minors, relatives, minor relatives, or selling out American interests.

Unfortunately there’s a reason why the definition of treason is so broad in the court of law. It’s hard to definitively prove and even if you do it all depends on how it’s spun or not. See for example: Trump inquiring about Ukraine and the Biden crime family involvement. Something he’s completely within his right to do as President of the United States. And he was labeled as a treasonous dictator by left wing media and impeached. Meanwhile Biden has PROVEN on the books business deals with enemies of the country and he’s praised for it somehow

Minors, or 16/17 year olds that liberals scream about constantly despite being legal most places?

I wonder if Biden (or rather the people working the Biden meat puppet) are worried that Hunter may turn state's witness and roll over on Pedo Joe to stay out of prison.

And how fast the FBI would arrange a sad overdose for Hunter if he did.

50/50 that Joe proclaims that he's going to end the political witch-hunting and pardon both Trump and Hunter at the same time. Gets his son off and short circuits Trump getting officially acquitted. Then they could still use "Convicted Felon".

Hunter is probably going to (be) disappear (ed?). Then the global corpo news will pull the 'Far-right drives suffering good boy to suicide.' headlines until the election.

They'd have to just completely throw out the entire idea of the system if they didn't convict him on this one. If he'd been even 5% more judicious he could have gotten away with it all but when you're such a fuckup you fail a cocaine test when you're the Vice President's son, they just have to let you hit rock bottom.

In concordance with my last comment on the subject, I will be surprised if he gets more than 6 months in prison. As a high-profile and low-risk convict (assuming appeals are exhausted), it is sensible to incarcerate him at a more favorable location than a random felon.

At this point the dude could bomb an orphanage and get away with it and I'd not be surprised. It's quite clear there are zero consequences for the man. Best case scenario is the guy overdoses someday. Also very likely. Only he can stop himself.

Seriously, this guy has some good drug dealers to have gotten this far. The real unsung hero of this weeks' Court TV drama.

I wonder if he would have like a 'drug tester'?

He's taking a fall for his demented father, thinking this will distract attention from the laptop's evidence of "the big guy" laundering money or taking bribes or whatever. His conviction is also a way for the DP to compare this to Trump's being found guilty of nothing substantial and claim, "See? Nobody is above the rule of law."

Hearing that idiotic expression "rule of law" any time a political enemy is railroaded into court or jail is enough to make me vomit.
