It was such a hallucination that the entire gaming urinalist community and their minions tried to destroy some regular guy in Brazil that compiled public data into a list. A list that was pretty much unknown until the same retards complaining pointed it out.
Schreier for all his retardation is an actual games journalist instead of just an outrage monger. So he does go out and get original research and even release great pieces of work on the industry every few years.
So while he is still a political narrative pusher and we'd be better off without him, he is probably one of the least likely in the entire industry to fall into obscurity short of an actual industry wide blacklisting of him.
Nah, he's been continuing to be active for quite a while. He's just not as outspoken on every single thing like he used to be I guess. (Just every other thing now)
Does the timeline even work? I don't remember the specifics, but I'd thought Suicide Squad was already failing before the SBI Detected kerfuffle really took off.
I could be wrong, but they seemed like two distinct things to me.
You are absolutely right. There was very little about SBI before the game came out. I remember seeing it. Then the game came out and people started to wonder why it was shit. Some people made the connection and it blew up.
But the core thing is people were looking for why the game is shit and found SBI. They didn’t start at SBI looking for a game to hate.
I've heard that SBI removed Suicide Squad from their website, which is why people immediately figured out they were responsible. Those chuckle fucks were too late, since the archive has it saved.
They’re just mad because people are starting to realize what the real problem is.
Maybe it was the fact that you ruined a longtime beloved character and happened to be the last work the legendary voice actor did before he died and slap the faces of anyone who was ever a Batman fan, let alone an Arkham Batman fan. That’s probably why the game flopped.
People are overblowing the SBI stuff, imo. The development has been reported to have been a wreck for several years, a couple years ago there was this emergency stop of what was going to be a total GAAS game that was walked back later. Screenshots of the UI and weapons were a total mess. They likely had to stop and start over development so many times that even Harley Quinn's nerfed ass compared to previous Arkham games probably was not a deliberate choice but developers in a rush. Yeah SBI probably mucked with the story some but it's just the rotten cherry on a dogshit sundae. Hyper-focusing on SBI detracts from the other problems, like how this whole thing boils down to companies wanting their own Fortnite and their own Call of Duty and they keep burning existing IPs like effigies trying and failing.
Rocksteady as a whole deserves to go bottom up. Its multiple dumb decisions that led to that garbage ass game but it’s funny to see how pissed these grifters get when you shit on their beloved DEI pet projects
Yeah even without the SBI and other politics the game was doomed anyway. It was a failure from the idea stage before they even began, and then only got worse from there.
People around here and the rest of the "culture war" have a bad issue with "MY ONE PROBLEM IS THE SOURCE OF EVERYTHING" instead of letting it be a lot of them all at once. Including the great circular reasoning of "well, if this one problem didn't happen money would have magically fixed all the rest."
I will admit that occasionally, it is as simple as developers taking shortcuts due to time/cost. Particularly in the visual department.
However, there are also a lot of clearly deliberate examples of extra effort being spent on creating ugly and "diverse" characters too. Or changing things in dialogue, story, and gameplay, just to cater to ideological sentiments.
Frankly, the DEI/SBI stuff is mostly a solid indicator if a game's going to be trash, because a studio that turns to that is clearly looking for "gimmie bucks" in place of sales based on quality.
It is now possible for games to be bad twice. Suicide Squad was always going to be GAAS garbage, but it was also woke garbage at the same time. Either is enough to put off a lot of customers. Together? No shot. Wokeshit is something people only tolerate in order to play an otherwise good game.
I'm not denying that SBI serves as a decent canary in the coal mine, a red flag that there is deeper rot with the game. There hasn't been a single thing associated with changes they have made to improving a game.
So in summary, games that are complete failures and lacking in any useful elements are more likely to seek out SBI-style consultation than games that are good or promise to be good, therefore we should not focus on SBI: It is merely the fever, the swollen lymph nodes, one of the signs the company is sickly and the game's a failure, not the root cause, so we should ignore it?
I just recently learned she has a full mocap studio set up in her house.
Which explains even more why she is in everything. They don't even have to pay for her to travel, she can just work from home on every game she is contracted for any hour of the day.
Now why would a journo feel the need to publish what's effectively a damage control article in a business specialized site? Specially after the widespread backlash the game got from the Poison Ivy and Brainiac leaks?
Multiple people who worked on the project say their growing concerns were often met with promises from management that Suicide Squad would eventually coalesce at the last minute, just as the Arkham games had. Several employees adopted the term “toxic positivity” to describe the culture of the company, which discouraged criticism. Leadership didn’t seem worried, they say, even as other traditionally single-player game studios that chased the live-service trend were delivering abysmal results with games such as Anthem (which earned a lowly score of 59 out of 100 on Metacritic), Marvel’s Avengers (67 out of 100) and Redfall (56 out of 100).
This is the actual problem. The devs deflected any criticism from the playerbase, they shut down any negative discussion around the game.
They'd rather blame the business model than the content. Imagine being an investor and be told 'live service games' are meant to underperform...
This is the same argument as 'the superhero fatigue' they pulled. When Concord fails they'll claim Hero Shooters were a bad investment but 'diversity' is still a safe bet
If you wanted a really effective ex post facto attack to use against leftists who have enough self control to not openly post death threats, locking up every one of them who has ever sneered about "right wing grifters" would be a good one.

The Streisand effect remains undefeated.
Game journalists are really the bottom of the barrel. Must really say something when you are such a hack even the Washington Compost won’t hire you.
Ah yes, Jason "if you like Dragon Crown's Sorceress, you're a pedo" Schreier.
Clearly! Also, lol. (Both mildly NSFW, mentioning just to be safe.)
Ye boi
Wow, that's a blast from the past. Surprised he's still around, I put him in the 'quietly dies in obscurity' bracket by now.

Oh, this is THAT retard? Oh, man.

Plus, game credits are extremely accessible.

Maybe if they didnt waste millions on SBI they could have hired devs with talent to make the game decent.

And that shareholder people, is what we've been trying to tell you all along.
Make a run on your shareholdings while you can, it's about to tank ON PURPOSE!
Don't trust me. Check the figures. Do the numbers and remember this reporter and the publication he writes for now.
Holy shit debra wilson again? lmao

Nah it was shit even without the Cringe Characters. Damn gameplay loop was trash and the Boss Fights had no damn tension. And the UI was utter shit.
Watching reviews gave me a headache whenever they showed gameplay. Way too many pastel colors right in your face.
There is at least one interview out there with a UI designer for suicide squad. Obvious diversity hire.
I can't look at this ugly bitch anymore
Oh yeah? Well, Marxism is an angry hallucination created by a grifter.
How you like them apples, Mr. Schreier?

Bloomberg in general runs damage control for the Regime. "It's totally a bull market, you guies! Quick, FOMO your retirement into NVDA!"

Things go wrong? Blame SBI being pointed out as helping the game out.
Things go right? Blame SBI being pointed out as helping the game out.
Tell me how it's different please, because I'm not dumb enough to conflate these statements two different ways.
