Schreier for all his retardation is an actual games journalist instead of just an outrage monger. So he does go out and get original research and even release great pieces of work on the industry every few years.

So while he is still a political narrative pusher and we'd be better off without him, he is probably one of the least likely in the entire industry to fall into obscurity short of an actual industry wide blacklisting of him.
