I see now in hindsight that he was always anti-white, but I didn't really see it at the time because he was more subtle back then and he also would gripe about the white guilt movies.
I viewed him as one of the lone brave truth tellers, particularly about feminism and women.
What a fall from grace he turned out to be. Brave is not how I'd describe Bill Burr.
I rarely am embarrassed for liking someone. In middle school, I, like all other middle schoolers at that time, thought Dane Cook was hilarious. Now I don't think he's the worst thing ever like he's made out to be, but I can see that it was more about perfect timing with Dane Cook. I was the exact right age for Dane Cook to be hilarious to me. I don't feel embarrassed because I understand the timing.
With Bill Burr, he actually makes you embarrassed you ever recommended him as someone who's "raw" and "tell's it like it is".
I mean it doesn't feel like that long ago I was doing that.
Also the guy who always said the government wants to eliminate people and drastically reduce the population goes all in for the vax and says people who don't get it are conspiratorial and whatever.
Has anyone so blatantly 180'd as Bill Burr?
Reminder that Bill Burr's hateful harpy of a wife gave him a dog, then took it away after he bonded with it.
Of course, he didn't do shit about it, because, in his words, he was "afraid of dying alone."
He had already been on Chappelle's show (I think) before he met his current wife; so he was already doing really well.
It's sad that he has such incredibly low self-esteem that, despite his wealth and success, he thinks that the best he can do is marry some ugly bitch that abuses him physically (multiple times no less).
You’d be surprised how many comedians have low self-esteem and depression. It’s almost a trait that they use comedy to hide their problems.
Been in the comedy scene myself at one point, and got out because it seemed like 100% of the comedians I met were absolute trash fires emotionally. They all truly hated themselves, and literally not one of them came from a stable family household. Same goes with pro wrestlers.
That’s too bad. Can I ask you a question though? How much of that is you projecting? I only ask because I’ve recently come to recognize that the qualities I tend to loathe about others are the ones I hate about myself. It’s not an uncommon phenomenon.
I wouldn't say it was projecting, because I sat with these people, hubg out with them, helped them iron out bits. And at the core, it became evident that these people hated themselves, hated their parents, and in a lot of ways hated the world. My problem was, I couldn't relate. I wasn't nearly as cynical as they were. I didn't have that icy anger they held. Honestly, this is what led to me dropping out of the scene, because I felt like such an outsider, because I love and respect my parents, I've had a good life, and just couldn't see the world the way they saw it. The scene is cutthroat. Instead of wanting to help each other succeed, the scene promotes jealousy and backstabbing. This is why joke thieving is so prominent. I had jokes stolen, in ways so obvious that it changed how I saw comedy as an art form. These are angry, insecure people lashing out in a way that feeds their insecurities and/or narcissism. Be around it enough, and you'll either be revolted, or become one of them.
Thank you for the detailed reply. Well, that’s a bummer to hear. I’ve always been a pretty funny dude and I’ve wanted to try stand up for over a decade but just haven’t really gotten around to doing it. I was envisioning in my head that I would get to meet a lot of cool people, but what you’re saying makes sense. All of my old best friends were the funniest guys you could know, but we were all funny because that was how we dealt with our insecurities when we were growing up. I’ve put a lot of effort into addressing my issues but they never did… we’re not friends anymore.
I don't care how good that magic triangle is, I'd become an abstinent monk before you take my dog away from me. They don't live long enough as it is. Fuck that.
It's not just the dog, that's actually the smallest part of this- it's the kind of person who would do that sort of thing. About as big of a red flag as you'll ever find- unless you're deathly allergic or the animal is outright dangerous, who on earth would even suggest getting rid of a pet than a sociopath?
I'm not aware of this. Is there a video that covers this event? That's awful though.
He's always been pretty liberal. If you listen to O&A he's constantly bumping heads with Anthony for his race takes. Burr is a great comedian and has great timing so he is funny, but he's never been based. He just used to shit on women a lot more which people mistook for being based.
Old Dads was a shitty movie. It pulls the Archie Bunker trick of pretending to be edgy by using the word nigger.
This is Bill Burr's Philly Rant during the O&A virus tour. This is Burr at his best.

Watching Bill Burr's old standup specials like "Why do I do this" and "You people are all the same", and then listening to his Monday Morning Podcast nowadays is like watching Germany in 1910 and then seeing the Weimar era.
Bill has been so pussy whipped that he lets his nigger wife come onto his own podcast at random and lets her shit on him, and his audience claps like seals. He constantly finds a way to shit on white people every episode. He claims to hate both Trump and Biden and the two party system and yet he is still a liberal.
The thing that really frustrates me about him is that he rants about the dangers of the Federal reserve, and how rich people want to control everyone, but then goes and attacks the one group that actually wants that to end. It's like he's solving a math problem and quits two steps before the solution.
It's absolutely infuriating to listen to his podcast now, because when he isn't droning on about sportsball or fellating himself and other standup comics, he is spitting the worst takes on just about everything else. It's like he mutated into a boomer despite being Gen X.
Even his sportsball talk isn’t worth a single penny. Dude has a hard on for Boston sports and doesn’t care that they are easily the worst fanbases in sports
Bill Burr and Idubbz had nearly the same descent and reasoning for it. Anti-social losers dealing with crippling loneliness by being insane and loud, only for the first crumb of pussy they "bonded" with to drag them into a parody of themselves.
The thing is, I don't think Burr was ever lying or pretending back in the day. He was being genuine as he could. He just has long since been buck broken by his thot into destroying his own legacy by seeming so unable to ever have been a different man.
At least Carlos Mencia went out with something mundane as joke stealing. Which by Joe Rogan's own later admissions is absolutely fine if he likes you, so Mencia lost his whole career because Rogan didn't like him but loves Amy Schumer.
Joe Rogan was out to get people at the time.
Well, at least Rogan is around and he consistently pisses off the normie left. He might be wrong on some things but the fact he brings conservatives on that piss off the left is a better value for discourse than anything leftists will ever create.
He also is more than happy to bring on Lefties and then softball them to exonerate them from controversies they are under. Such as the aforementioned Amy Schumer or even Jack Dorsey when he was in control of the most powerful media tool in the world.
Basing what's good or bad on what makes Lefties mad is how you get things like Hogwarts Legacy (a game that's woke as fuck in every way) to record numbers of sales.
Bill Burr is a typical Boston Liberal. The same type that’ll threaten to knock your teeth in for not supporting BLM or whatever. Just imagine your local drink Patriots fan and cross that with someone who has the worst take in politics I’ve ever seen
So are Boston/MA whites just all around retarded? Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Burr. Wahlberg seems normal. The other three are raging liberals.
You may be experiencing some selection bias if your examples are all celebrities, but I can’t say I have enough experience with them to know.
The only person outside of celebrities that I know from Boston is a gay dude who is also a raging liberal. And also white.
Bill Burr got destroyed by his wife, primarily. He should have listened to his own advice.
But, no, I'm not embarrassed to have liked him, or to still think he sometimes gets it right even now. Old Bill Burr was, no matter how you feel about some of his perceived stances, an excellent and hilarious comedian. Like, top tier. Not at the very top of the top, like Norm Macdonald, but still pretty high up there on the 'good comedy' list. At least in my opinion. Old Burr was absolutely hilarious, and I feel no embarrassment whatsoever. Gotta separate the art from the artist, or the art from the future artist. I enjoy the work of plenty of people who turn out to be raging morons on a bunch of issues.
Burr's fall was dramatic, I'll give you that, and he's an absolute moron now on a bunch of stuff, but that still doesn't erase his old accomplishments.
To be fair, I was being hyperbolic about being embarrassed.
It's just a more of a colorful way to say how lame a turn he took, and to the degreee I percieved him one way, was a false perception. I dont feel truly embarrassed. It was an exaggeration
He's a cuck bitch with white guilt
People don’t think Jews run the show. But surprise surprise even Kanye West isn’t above having his career wrecked for speaking out against them
Funny thing is, just a few years ago Kanye was reveled as “the best artist ever” by the same people who would scoff if they heard his name in passing today
A lot of East Coast comics have this weird combination soft racism/ Black worship thing going on.
Bill Burr is a sad story, I THINK it was one of his Rogan appearances where Joe asked him are you going to settle down or something similar and his answer was basically I can keep doing what I'm doing and die alone or marry some harpy and become the butt of my own jokes and I'll probably end up doing that because I don't want to die alone.
And he did.
I didn't know he was anti-white, but certainly liberal and cucked.
I think by virtue of being liberal one is anti white.
As anthony cumia points out, his bits used to be about women, but nowadays he makes sure to say WHITE women.
About how white women are the worst.
Granted Im taking Cumias word for it, cause I dont listen to Bill Burr anymore, but I haven't seen Anthony Cumia lie about something or misrepresent situations.
Two guys I feel embarrassed for following regularly are Nick Rekieta and to a lesser degree Ezra Levant.
Rekieta has imploded into such a libertine faggot over the last two years when I used to watch his night show frequently.
Ezra Levant became more exposed Oct 7th even as a secular Jew after doing such a great job covering COVID stuff over the pandemic.
It’s Mark Hamil for me. I grew up with Luke Skywalker as my hero and it wasn’t until a little bit ago that I learned how absolutely far left the dude is and it made me really sad. He’s not just a libtard, the dude openly embodies the narrative as hard as possible
Not just a crazy liberal but a pretty bad guy all around. He was good (in the past) about keeping his politics away from work.
All I ever really hear of him in recent years is when he has cringeworthy awkward run-ins with other comedians he's pissed off at, either for political reasons or obscure personal ones: bill maher, anthony cumia, theo von...
There's little that's mischievous about his joking these days, he just seems like a miserable ball of spite, occasionally spitting out the complete shittest takes on things. I imagine Burr's picked up a sense of the cucked out image that has come to spread of him online and doesn't like it one bit, nor how it all revolves around his wife - justifiably so, since it's obvious that she contributes to his misery and retardation. His 'Rittenhouse just wanted to murder people amirite?!?' stuff clearly came off the back of a convo with her, in a white-hating bubble tone deaf to reality, for example.
I just find it hard to laugh at anything said by people who appear to be inwardly seething while trying to use 'bantz' as a tool to lash out. He comes off like an angry man in a brittle shell that nobody in his circles will dare to take a crack at, partly because of his roasting but mostly also because of his showbiz cachet that comedians want to suck off.
I'd never heard of him until The Mandalorian and then everyone was singing his praises and saying what a great comedian he is.
So I gave him a listen. I think he's funny and smart and I love the back-and-forth he does with his wife.
Not someone I'd listen to often, but certainly someone worth listening to when you have the time. I'm sure like everyone he's backed the wrong horse in his personal outlook every now and then but I get the idea that he's always open to that being something he might do and is happy to be corrected and learn from it when it happens.
So the thing is, if you haven't heard him before he had his wife, you'd see a much starker contrast. I actually stopped listening to his podcast when she became more of a presence even before they got married. It was clear his opinions were changing dating this black highly liberal woman. Like u/Mpetey123 said, he was always liberal (something I didn't pick up on the time), but Nia (that's her name right?) was like gasoline on that fire.
If you can find the old Bill Burr episodes when he was single, it's very different. His anti-white liberal stuff is more obvious now, and would have been then had I listened to the aforementioned O&A stuff at the time, but his overall liberal-ness came out in much more noticeable ways after dating Nia.
Compared to the utter softness of the modern day "comedians" he seems like he has edge, but I'm comparing him to the Bill Burr I listened to back in the early to mid 2010s. That's a very different guy, or at least he hid it better.
He got famous for being pro-male but that mostly went away once he married the negress, now he's a basic bitch liberal like everyone else.
Sooner or later, everyone has to sell their soul if they want to take the ticket.
Nothing smart comes out of Massachusetts anymore
Unfortunately for him (and for us) he's a weak man. You can say the truth, but most of the time you have to accept that you'll be on your own. And sadly, he wasn't strong enough to accept that.
If he's invited to Late Night Talk Shows (televised church services of the Left-Progressive Cathedral) and is getting bit parts in Disney shows then the writing is already on the wall.
Also, don't forget. He got a pass from the Proglodytes because he has a black wife.
I thought he was funny but always knew he wasn't one of us. He dated a black date, for one. Mark two was his American caricatures which were really just "haha whites are hicks durrrr". And he was pretty anti Trump. If you know what to look for, it's obvious. They have certain verbal/linguistic cues, certain ways they word things, certain topics they press or avoid.
Take pity on the poor cuckold.
I think having to sit in the corner and watch another dude bang his wife has broke his mind.
And we might get him back after she inevitably divorce rapes him if he doesn't eat a bullet.
He fucking married a far left black feminist nutjob. I'm convinced he doesn't fucking believes a single thing he says.
He complains about a problem (women) but he doesn't understand why that problem happens (women being allowed to vote and get into positions of power because of stupid men enabling them).
See also: Trump. Why did people vote for him, because he's not part of the elite and he talks like Burr actually does but he does it to the elite. What does Burr do? Orange man bad, he's too stupid to be a politician, makes fun of him because he thinks he's stupid and continues to simp for the mainstream position.
The guy has no fucking principles.
