Funny how we have to constantly worry about optics while the protected groups don't have to (twitter.com)

I don't know if that's a rightie guy, but it's why conservatives in America always lose. They'd rather lose the right way on principle, while the left cheats, lies, hurts, and kills without compunction

They use the Eddie Guerrero tactic of proudly lying, cheating, and stealing

True but leftists use that tactic and know we play by the rules

Or more simply:

Play to win.

Someone had a good post about “scrubs”. To him a scrub is someone that doesn’t use a tactic that’s in the game, while getting mad when other people use it and win. Instead of learning the tactic, the bitch about it online. I think it was Street Fighter 4 he was talking about specifically

I think you're talking about Sirlin. https://www.sirlin.net/ptw-book/introducingthe-scrub

I once played a scrub who was actually quite good. That is, he knew the rules of the game well, he knew the character matchups well, and he knew what to do in most situations. But his web of mental rules kept him from truly playing to win. He cried cheap as I beat him with “no skill moves” while he performed many difficult dragon punches. He cried cheap when I threw him five times in a row asking, “Is that all you know how to do? Throw?” I gave him the best advice he could ever hear. I told him, “Play to win, not to do ‘difficult moves.’” This was a big moment in that scrub’s life. He could either ignore his losses and continue living in his mental prison or analyze why he lost, shed his rules, and reach the next level of play.

I’ve never been to a tournament where there was a prize for the winner and another prize for the player who did many difficult moves. I’ve also never seen a prize for a player who played “in an innovative way.”

I thought a scrub was a guy hanging out the passenger side of his best friend's ride hollering at girls?

Why am I supposed to care what some Happa looking potato face has to say about anything? He's the wrong milquetoast bitch to be making a mockery of how an association with Az might make you look.

It'd make you look honest, as it happens. His reaction to out of place pronouns and diversity looked exactly like that. Honest.

I have seen quite a few people whining about Heelvsbabyface rant and I always find them quite disingenuous. They can make reasonable arguments all day and at the end of the day, it just doesn't hold any water. And they really can't defend their position in the end it only makes them petty and have even less credibility than before. Ultimately, this is why I'm not too fond of the current western culture, it propped up bunch of pseudo-intellectuals that care more about optics than the end results and too chickenshit to actually tackle the problem like a man. Only last and this year, there have been actual influencers with balls to make a stand.

Didn't even realize he was talking about Heelsvsbabyface until you said it. If that's the case, he's not a centrist at all. He's taken a clear stand with that tweet, and it's on the side of the pedophiles and other regressives. What does "I have standards" even mean here? Az did nothing wrong. Starfield's pronoun selection IS an example of San Francisco values being forced on the rest of the world. Does Oliver not like the presentation that Az puts on? The exaggerating yelling that half of all gaming YouTubers have put on since AVGN? It's funny how that's only ever brought up as a point against the "alt-right" crowd.

  • Engage in consumerism, degenerate cultural commentary, crude sexual humor, with random burping and fart jokes as you scream at vidya games? You could become a beloved YouTube icon and get a multi-million dollar twitch contract!

  • Engage in consumerism, degenerate cultural commentary, crude sexual humor, with random burping and fart jokes as you scream at vidya games - while also talking shit about retarded SJWs and leftism? Wow that's a little extreme dude. I don't want to be associated with people like you.

I remember guys like Oliver in middle and high school. One of them might have been named Oliver, in fact. They were the kids who weren't popular at the slightest, were mid at best, but still thought they were too cool to hang out with the losers. You might catch them talking to those kids on occasion, but the next day they'd loudly make fun of the geeks to try and get in with the cool kids. They're the first to rat you out if you get in trouble so they won't take the fall. Oliver's feigning of fence-sitting centrism is just a rationalization of him being a snake. Fuck Oliver.

The reason I take an issue with this Oliver Jia guy is that more often than not, he has some good takes but as you said he has that aura of "I'm better than you pleb". And really I blame western academic institutions for churning these types of people that seem so arrogant yet have very little substance to offer.

Hedging your opinions is gay

Whenever someone says "I don't like actor/celebrity/politician, but I agree with him on this" I immediately know you're a coward. God forbid you just say "I agree with this" or even just post/share something without comment at all.

I only know who the guy in the drawn pic in the tweet is because of the outrage video he had. I made it about 15 seconds in and felt that while he's got a point, his frustration and anger with it all just came off as too harsh.

I did make it through the video, and he does have a point. Useless changes like male female to type a and b or 1 and 2 make absolutely no sense whatsoever. First, it's almost always a tiny little change right? But it was made by someone who hates you and wants you dead, so you have to fight little bullshit things like that, and not buy the game because of it.

Which is why curator groups, watchdogs and people like heelvsbabyface are needed, even if you find them weird and loud when you first get to see their content, like I did.

You're talking about people who will be complacent in the deaths of family, to turn around and throw deceased family under a bus, and use that as a springboard to put more hate filled people into gaming. No. Fuck no. That's vile.

Heels is a numpty but he's certainly not representative for the whole. Just like those creepy 'trans Youtube philosophers' (lolcows) couldn't possibly be representative for the whole of the left spectrum.
