Opposing immigration is the key to right wing victories everywhere. Literally no majority in any western nation wants never ending mass immigration. As long as “far right” candidates campaign exclusively on stopping immigration and deporting illegal aliens, they will win elections.
The one thing that right wing candidates cannot do is harp on abortion. Forget that shit for at least a generation. Focus on the greatest wedge issue of our time. Everyone except the elites and the far left want zero immigration.

I grew up in a traditional Christian/republican bubble but I was aware there were people in other parts of the country who thought differently than me. To this day my closest friends are people from church or other fellow Christians. My extended family is more on the left but we get along as long as we don’t talk politics
