Bernie was always a grifter, he used his political position to lobby his wife’s job at the college she was caught embezzling at and then he magically started supporting Hillary in order for the FBI to stop investigating. It took HIS SUPPORTERS to sue the DNC for fraud where the judge literally said the DNC has no responsibility to provide a fair and free primary. He never once ran independent for president because he was always a grift.
His wife was also his official "broker" for advertising time that his campaign bought. For this tiny service, she received commissions from his campaign funds for every minute of commercial time his campaign bought on radio and television. She made hundreds of thousands doing this.
Bernie still holds himself above other liberal grifters because he's only laundering and stealing his own donated money.
It's a summah home. Who doesn't have a summah home?
Shit like this pisses me off immensely. So many of us struggling to get by, or at best slowly growing savings that amount to a fraction of what these corrupt fucks are grifting per year. Also, 150k a year is small time if we're looking at the politician scale. And they have the nerve to claim to care about 'the people' or even 'the little guy.' Communists want communism in part because they think everyone is as unscrupulous and greedy as they themselves are.
The only solace you can take is that while money can make you happy in various ways, our basic instincts aren't capable of simply just taking it and running. The brain can really tell if you "earned" it, and bring immensely more satisfaction and contentment for a fraction of it regardless of the amount of misery and stress that surrounds it.
Its why most women and rich are constantly depressed, because they "earn" so little in their life, that despite having often literally everything handed to them they are still miserable little wrecks who need to break taboos and do increasingly terrible shit to try and feel something as simple as you or I would get with a bucket of fried chicken after a 12 hour shift.
You have people think we'll have a UBI utopia where they'll write the next great novel after robots free up all their time doing all the work, instead of being strung up on drugs and wrecking the robots simply because they can.
Or perhaps strung up and pumped full of drugs by the robots until they determine that we are no longer needed.
Agreed with a caveat. They only want communism if they are the guys on top. If they have to stand in a bread line, then clearly "This is not true communism..."

This is every politician. Not that that's any kind of excuse, but seriously, every single non-profit is a scam, every charity is a money laundering organization, ever NGO funnels government money, etc.

Like Constipatriot said, by not taking corporate money he just did the grift every other politician does but used the last 20 bucks to millions of basement dwellers' name. I'd say that makes him a measure worse than the other worst people on the planet. It was fun to see reddit explode and cry about not being able to afford food that week every time he bowed out.

People are easily fooled by enticing words; they'll even go so far as to ignore actions if the words are appealing enough.
