This passed right by ugly and landed straight in the genetic defect zone
"Every fiber of my evolutionary being is repulsed by the genetic weakness demonstrated by your face."

It shows an ignorance of basic marketing.
Beautiful women trigger dopamine in the brain of men AND women. If you want people to buy your product, use a hot fucking chick to sell it. Sales 101. Remember that shitty Evony mobile clone or whatever they advertised with a smokeshow blonde in an evening gown (edit: Kate Upton), and made a shitzillion dollars?
There's an argument that companies are trolling each other with this "realistic beauty" garbage like a suicide pact, at least at first, but now these morons actually believe it.
yes, that is a GIRL. From the new Fable trailer (go find it, ain't gonna link.)
I'm just amazed at what choice they use to promote a game. Even women like hot chicks, yo.
Oh my god did you just assume it's gender?!
millennial hipster look is deliberate uglification.
In their defense, I think that's popular UK comedian Richard Ayoade, not a random character model. Playground Games (or what's left of it) are British.
I like Richard Ayoade and I thought the trailer was legitimately clever. But the hero is such a fugly goblin thing it's an instant turn off.
10/10 in Bongland
I think there's going to be a stretch from maybe 2018 to ... 2030? where there aren't going to be any triple A games worth buying until all the studios either rid themselves of the woke infection or go bankrupt.
Luckily there's a vast backlog of games I can play (and replay).
Face it, the golden age of aaa gaming is over. Small studios will have good stuff but the big shit will be trash until they root out the political insanity which will not be happening until/if the great reset fails.
I'm not really into gaming so do tell, when was the golden age of aaa gaming? It's a genuine question, I'm curious to know for some other reasons.
Around the mid PS3/Xbox era
I was looking forward to the next fable game
Why? How did you miss how badly Microsoft has fallen?
Or how bad most fable games have been
Too true. The first one was shallow as hell and entirely forgettable. The second was a total farce. It was literally impossible to lose in Fable 2. I never bothered with any of those games after 2.
One may have had some novelty being on the Xbox and your choices changing how your character looked and dying gave you scars etc…. But you need more than that in the sequels
I had a lot of fun with 2. Not every game needs to be dark souls
Fair enough, but I think there's a middle ground between "playing Dark Souls with your shoes on fire" and "literally impossible to lose". There was virtually zero punishment for dying in Fable 2.
I’ve always had a PlayStation and once I learned that Starfield and ES6 would be Microsoft exclusive I decided to get Microsoft game pass and steam on my gaming laptop and played the first Fable for the first time. So I’m kinda behind
They will be on PC.
I had a feeling it was gonna be woke AF from the moment it was announced. Can't have a British medieval game without diversity everywhere.
Precisely the reason I bought Kingdom Come even though I’m not a fan of first person. Was glad to see the creator didn’t bend the knee
I didn't know they were making one but seriously, lol. Who is this even for? I assume the game will have a character creator but if not, holy shit.
It'll have a character creator, that'll be shit and you will only be able to make characters that look like that.
...just like Sea of Thieves.
Why? OG Fable was overhyped and undercooked; it was vastly disappointing.
I gave the sequel a chance, but it wasn't any better. I gave up on the series after that. I can't imagine a world in which Fable games are actually worth bothering with.
It’s incredible the way Peter Molyneux was able to convince Microsoft to fund not just the first game, but the second and third after how disappointing the preceding games were.
I guess when I first heard of it years back my mind imagined a much better game. The concept sounded cool
Oh yeah, that much is true. Molyneux was a masterclass snake oil salesman.
From the way the game was described it was supposed to be a miracle RPG for the ages handed down from heaven by the hand of god. If only.
Lol still haven't learned your lesson?
The "silence" caption got me, lol.
Damn. I'd take those original Fable 1 female models over this. Can't get norty to a face like that.
I don't know if this is woke, or just because its Fable.
Because from the original without much deviation onward, the characters in Fable have almost exclusively been butt ugly to a point of parody. That's why Lady Grey became such a meme to marry in the first, she is the only remotely attractive character.
I'm gonna go with a mix of both options.
It's definitely woke, but yeah Fable has always been full of ugly people. lol
The Fable trailer was nothing but reasons not to care about this game.
Looks like Charles II
Jesus
Forspoken was at least a new IP. So sick of this revision. 3 - 1 she's the new main character. Or the story will revolve around whispers ambitions instead
"Hold my Bud Light"
Be fair y'all, this is British media, this orc is positively stunning by their standards.
Fable: The Inbred
Looks trans. Why didn't they use the character models from the Horizon Festival and just give them old looking clothes?
Would only even look at this if furry mods were available.
Looks like a woman without makeup trying not to fart.
You guys need to touch grass
