This. I've seen a couple ads for this thing and the whole premise of it just seemed pointless to me. I do not need a browser with integrated discord and twitch chat. And why on earth do I need social media and streaming services automatically built in?
I like to add stuff to my browser with plugins personally and even there I prefer the KISS principle, it's a browser...it's supposed to show me websites and not be my go-to place for streaming, social media etc.
Vivaldi I do not like personally, very bloat. The customisation is great but that's about it. Also another one that phones home and iirc they fingerprint your profile which also gets phones home. No thanks.

There's no real "voting with your money" in the browser wars because they're all cucked, although I know for a fact there are better alternatives to Opera for most people because it's based on Chromium, and virtually every browser aside from Firefox and Safari are built on Chromium.
If people really wanna boycott, find out how they get their funding and boycott those companies.

Their browser is very much Spyware anyway. Last I saw someone dig into it it phones home a lot, has unneeded stuff that harvest data etc.

The original creator of Opera went on to create Vivaldi anyway. Both it and the current, contemptibly fake Opera browser run off Chromium of course.
