In Japan, a woman starts a relationship with her professor when she was 23. She then claims this was “grooming,” tries to MeToo him. The man’s wife sues her for adultery, wins $20K. NYT shocked at a country that treats women like adults (archive.is)

This is an aspect of Japan's legal system that I really envy, that you can sue the cheaters for adultery as part of your compensation.

Really cuts down on the thottery when you gotta pay a few grand to the jilted partner and you're now legally known as a homewreaker.

Right? Imagine a society where we look down on guys whose wives cheat on them more than guys who screw other people's wives.

It's extremely bad in the west that this is almost celebrated on social media when you have cheating seen as a kink compared to Asia where I've seen VAs lose their careers thanks to cheating on their partners.

I do love how the article itself is trying to go 'why wasn't she believed and rewarded for coming forward!?' while Japan's legal system is 'oh we believed her, she's a cheating hoe so pay the wife and the husband loses his position because you don't go fucking students'.

It's refreshing when you have a resolution that sounds like it came from adults for once.

It’s still a thing in HI, IL, MS, NM, NC, SD, and UT. The jilted spouse can sue for alienation of affection.

Sue the unfaithful spouse, or the slut?

The slut or lothario as the case may be. Watch the number of people willing to fuck married people decline enormously if there's suddenly a huge financial penalty for getting your rocks off.

women shouldn’t be allowed to vote if they can’t make decisions about consent

The elites that create and influence social trends are bleating nonstop about how we are overpopulated. The social dynamic now is such that any age difference more than 5 years is getting more and more looked down upon. Do we really think this is an accident? Like you noted, such things have an effect of locking men out of being fathers at an artificially early age. Also worth nothing that men marrying women who are lower in social status (often times due to lower age) is the norm throughout history.

As Ilhans brother said, If you aren't capable of consent you shouldn't be allowed to vote. This trend is hilarious. It is all the women who have been sold the girlboss lifestyle of adult daycare careers now realizing they probably made the wrong decision so they are attempting to shame men into being as miserable as they are. I know a few people like this in real life and it's pretty funny.

Especially since as best I can tell, they’re quite okay with pedophilia generally. I guess I parse it like this: their philosophy is basically that there is no truth, only power, so they can use rhetoric to gain and exercise power. They have a power-interest in women dominating men in society, so they will say anything to portray men as evil, including the idea that a 30 year old is a creep and too old for a 23 year old. They also have an interest in having sex with children, so other times they will use rhetoric (to include porn in schools) to sexual use kids and/or wear down adults’ resistance to adult-child relations. It all just depends on what they’re trying to accomplish in the given moment.

But when you act that way, eventually you’ll be caught out for hypocrisy. If all you think language and rhetoric are is a means to exert power, it will take all of like thirty seconds for you to say something that completely contradicts something you said before, simply because you’re now pursuing a different interest or end-goal.

Having sex with children is part of Satanism. Whether or not it's part of their orientation, it is part of their exercise of power.

Its pure jealousy. Women know they have a short shelf life, and they absolutely abuse it while they have it. But the moment they are out, they want to destroy the men who partake in it.

And, because younger women fucking chase down older men violently if they are remotely attractive, it has the effect of turning most men into pedophiles. Which feeds into the "all men are predators" angle feminism needs to keep women afraid.

This will have the effect of locking men out of being fathers if they waited too long

There has been a huge push for this for a while. I've noticed it around a lot of the random standup and comedy worlds, where they make constant references to "old sperm" and how having an old dad fucks up kids. Which granted, it might, but he has to be quite old.

Which stands in stark contrast to how being barely 35 is enough for a woman's body to ruin a child and it fucking flies downhill from there. Something most of society won't even mention and are desperate to create "treatments" to get around.

Anything they can do to avoid responsibility and then force men into marrying the used up 30 something hags.

Oh look, the root of #MeToo which was spearheaded by post-wall celebs trying to pull the Weinstein ladder up.

Note: Weinstein should rename his dick "The Ladder" because how many women wanted to climb on it as a means to advance

France also forbids fathership tests so you can't even find out if it is your child, if you are in a relationship with her it is your child by default.

So ... a woman won but women are oppressed?

Over the next 10 years, they regularly met in Tokyo at so-called love hotels

Ms. Sano sent him affectionate notes and accompanied him on trips to France, Italy and Spain, both while she was under his supervision and after graduation.

The "harassment" was so horrible she kept going back for more for 10 years. It's not like she lived with him and couldn't leave. She had to actively travel to meet him.

Don't you know, women have no agency and can't be held responsible for their own actions

For the sake of argument, let’s say her version of events is true. That her professor made her academic progress conditional upon her reciprocating his romantic advances. Even if true, she still had the agency to agree or turn down those terms. Nobody is entitled to academic success (or any kind of success), so if she chose to agree to sex in exchange for advancement in her academic career, then she freely made that choice. It’s the same thing with Hollywood metoo. Those women knew that the price of stardom was sex with gross old men and they chose sex in order to advance their careers. Don’t come back years later and claim coercion.

Sure, and he got fired for it. That’s completely reasonable. But that has no bearing on whether this woman had a consensual sexual relationship with her professor.
