Russia is floating a plan to build a village for conservative Americans who want to move to a 'Christian country' and are tired of liberal ideology in the US (www.businessinsider.in)

I know it's a meme at this point about the "based Russians," but it's not exactly a free country, nor is it exactly Christian. The population is about 7% Muslim and a lot of white Russians are still atheists. Every level of government is just as corrupt as it is here in the West, and the standard of living isn't great. It's not the most attractive destination to move to just because people there oppose globohomo.

It's nothing new, a lot of commies from around the world immigrated to the workers paradise 100 years ago.

Those who didn't get out like Emma Goldman (her My Disillusionment in Russia is a pretty good book about getting out of a death cult before it is too late as told by an extreme leftoid) eventually got shot in the purges and 'spy' hunts, like thousands of Polish emigree communists of whom literally a handful survived:

Witness the tragic condition of Russia. The methods of State centralization have paralysed individual initiative and effort; the tyranny of the dictatorship has cowed the people into slavish submission and all but extinguished the fires of liberty; organized terrorism has depraved and brutalized the masses and stifled every idealistic aspiration; institutionalized murder has cheapened human life, and all sense of the dignity of man and the value of life has been eliminated; coercion at every step has made effort bitter, labour a punishment, has turned the whole of existence into a scheme of mutual deceit, and has revived the lowest and most brutal instincts of man.

But if dumb people today want to go to a Potemkin village meeting Jonestown, I just don't want them to be used as hostages for prisoner swaps like with that huge tranny.

There is no place someone who truly wants to be free can live. Every square inch is claimed.

Your best bet is figuring out where has the most freedoms and asks the least of you, and where it would cost as little as possible to pay off the authorities to leave you alone, with no guarantees that they will as McAfee found out.

I don't need to "be free". I'll settle for not being punished by my government for being a white male and not having to worry about my children falling victim to state sponsored pedophilia. I don't really feel like that's a lot to ask.

Uruguay sounds nice. It's a nice country, the people are white, and it's about as out-of-the-way as it can be.

Nowhere is free. America is rapidly splintering into communist and right wing theocratic factions who want to jail dissenters. Russia is indeed a corrupt post Soviet wasteland but to some people its an improvement. Muslims are a non issue, befriend them wherever you can, most will gladly help you out.

We lived in Russia for years, 2003-2008.

Your average westerner would not survive a year even in the Moscow burbs. Not to mention that government policies, visas, and residency requirements regarding foreigners change every time the winds blows. And those changes come in official Russian language documents only.

The US foreign service classifies Russian language as a category 4 difficulty for English speakers on a scale of 5. Don't believe the bullshit you've heard, there is no English spoken or written in Russia outside of a few urban neighborhoods.

To put this in perspective for those who haven't ever learned a non romance or germanic language, it takes approximately three times as long for a native English speaker to learn Russian as it does to learn Spanish. Now, things like passion for the language, high motivation, etc can make the extra difficultly feel like a small bump in the road, but I think many normies who have only ever been exposed to learning Spanish, French, or German don't truly grasp how much more difficult it can get.

I am learning Polish, which is even more grammatically complex than Russia--albeit not by much. I've been learning Polish for 7 years, immersed and speaking everyday and I still have only just now made it into the C-level. Slavic languages are HARD for english speakers. I only needed 2 years to get to the C-level in German.

Most Americans and Brits are completely ignorant of how complex a language can actually be and wouldn't stand a snowballs chance in hell of learning Russian.

Weird, the DoD had it as a 3/5 along with Farsi and Korean (North); Pashto, Arabic, and Chinese were 4s, Tagalog was a 2, and the Romance languages were 1s. I dont' think I even saw a 5, so perhaps they're using a different scale entirely, or they re-scaled things at some point.

The DoD must be saving 5 for the extraterrestrial languages.

I'm not surprised. I mean, I'd first aim for another eastern European country first. Poland, maybe, somewhere like that.

But if you keep bashing distinct groups of people, you can't be surprised if they start banding together.

Poland has been taken over by the globalists. Their longstanding feud with Russia has driven them westward and they are now full of gay and feminist propaganda.

They are going to be using whoever moves there for anti-US & anti-European propaganda, and supporting Russia is also going to mean supporting their main allies, Iran and China, no thank you.

Moving there is like giving up on your own country, it is perfectly possible to build a small community of 200 people in any Western country and keeping free speech which is something you won´t have in Russia, and I am not going to even get started about the living standards in comparison to what you have back at home.

Russia is corrupt. It works like most places, don't piss of the local governments and they won't mess with you. This is how it works in most parts of the world. In the end that means you have to tread carefully.

The USA however is moving in that direction so this point is rapidly becoming moot. Another plus is there is significantly less zionist influence in Russia.

Can we just put the leftists there instead?

I mean, if it's a containment village, put the thing in there that needs to be contained because it's not compatible with reality.
