The population is about 7% Muslim and a lot of white Russians are still atheists. Every level of government is just as corrupt as it is here in the West, and the standard of living isn't great. It's not the most attractive destination to move to just because people there oppose globohomo.

I don't need to "be free". I'll settle for not being punished by my government for being a white male and not having to worry about my children falling victim to state sponsored pedophilia. I don't really feel like that's a lot to ask.

Russia is indeed a corrupt post Soviet wasteland but to some people its an improvement. Muslims are a non issue, befriend them wherever you can, most will gladly help you out.
