Aloy from the robot dinosaurs games is a homo.

Should've expected this when they made her a manjaw.
mild_shock.gif. It'd be more surprising if a female protagonist was straight.
To mildly paraphrase from their literature, a married couple with children can be queer if the family is "particularly naughty." Surely that's an innocent idea.
"What do you call yourselves?"
"The Aristocrats!"
To be expected. I assume a Netflix special that further focuses on her sexuality is in the works?
Well she's a redhead so you already know what the Netflix version will look like
Black. She'll be black. But they can have this one.
So stunning and brave and totally original like all the surprise lesbians before her. It’s remarkable how these developers all think outside the box in the same way.
Who?
The only one who needs to fear owls is Simon Cowell (King of the Beavers).
I like how none of the options are "I don't find you attractive". The best they give you is "I am also a lesbian, but now is not the time".
Imagine giving your players less freedom than Mass Effect.
You have all the freedom you want to stick to their narrative.
Burning Shores? Is that a suggestion that she has gonorrhea?
I've barely even played the first since it came to PC, but what little time I did play involved her being oppressively smarter-than-thou with all the predictably stereotypical "hurk durk me strong man me know better me mansplain" dudes she interacts with, or the occasional gaslight girlboss male manipulator that's obviously disgusting to her as well.
Perhaps later in the game she will have a healthy, nice friendship with a male, but I fucking doubt it. I'm sure it's all condescension and assholery.
There were two interactions with men that I liked. One was the weird rival who helps clear out enemy strongholds and then duels with her. I recall it being fairly smarm free. More just two warriors respecting each other.
The other was with the fat guy in the DLC. I really liked his story. He just misses his mom and wants to relive a fond memory of her. Aloy was, thankfully, not a bitch to him and actually rather sympathetic. That surprised me.
I like Silens' interactions with her. Mostly because he's one of the few people who doesn't take her shit or worships the ground she walks on, and identifies a lot of her self-importance as childish whining when there is more important stuff going on. It helps that he's the only character who actually feels like he comes from pulpy science fiction story (even if he sounds like he should be on a starship rather than an overgrown Stone Age-era world full of oogah-boogahs), and isn't just some modern-day college intern playing in someone's film project.
This was obvious from back in the first game. You could tell they went out of their way to show she’s not interested in men beyond what material gains she can get from them, especially since the men themselves were all drooling over her in contrast.
How is that different from straight women?
I'm genuinely shocked they allow lesbians still, given they appeal to the cishet oppressors too. Especially since, unlike TLoU2, this one isn't painfully ugly seemingly to remove any ability to like it.
Its not titillating, but its far closer to being so than I expect from how much they cower away from doing so.
Because alloy isn't hot.
100% this. They only make butch lesbians no normal person would be interested in. She looks like that fat guy from youtube for Christ's sake.
This particular scene she doesn't look horrible, as she does in most other ones I've seen. Not enough to stand out at least as a problem.
But that might just be this one scene devoid of the entire rest of the game.
That was so hilarious. We get one probably the most explicit sex scene in a AAA game of that generation and it features a character NOBODY (except maybe gay men?) wanted to see naked.
I was thinking of the gay kiss they shoved in all the adverts with Ellie and the Walking Jew Joke of her girlfriend with the giant schnoz who was the focal point of the camera angle.
But traps are gay.
Holy shit it just got 15% more diverse
I just assume every famous woman, fictional or otherwise, is a man-hating lesbian.
Makes life so much easier, and it's usually correct.
It's sad, but more true than a lot of people would like to believe.
Well she is a redhead, so by being gay that bought her a little more time before they made her black.
Was the first game really that good?
Everybody was raving about it as the next big thing - I tried playing it but couldn’t get more than a few hours into it.
I found it very repetitive and boring. Kill this, collect this, ten percent upgrade for this, take down an enemy exactly how the game wants.
Boring.
It's alright. It's got some of the best archery I've ever played in a game, and fighting big machines is a lot of fun. But like most open world games, it's just filled with a lot of unnecessary clutter, and it turns what should be these awesome and epic battles into repetitive busywork. The story is dumb and takes itself too seriously, the characters are bland and uncharismatic (especially the protagonist), and the fights against human enemies, of which there's too much of, honestly suck.
The game would have honestly worked better as a linear adventure with more tightly-designed levels, enemy encounters, and set pieces. Or as a Monster Hunter clone. I really wouldn't call it a must-play title. And the second game is even less so.
Finding it really hard to give a shit about this game beyond laughing at some webms on 4chan making fun of the game. Not to mention the MC is fucking ugly
EVERYONE in the robot dinosaurs games is mischaracterized.
They should all, every single one of them, act like Klingons on cocaine.
I am shocked. SHOCKED!
I mean, 'she' already looks like a fat dwarf in some screenshots, so...
I'd bitch more about why modern 'developers' want to make women ugly, but I know why.
I did, but ascii art doesn't work well in comments it seems.
It's basically my face at all times.
That said, it follows that would be the case, since original she was cloned from was also a lesbian, supposedly.
The game is pretty lefty anyway, about men destroying the earth and women having to save it (including Gaia, as a black woman for the computer generated image of the program they make).
