Usually I can see something and immediately think how the average retarded leftist would try to counter it. They're known to be the predictable sort, after all. But honestly, what do they say to this? Its a conversation I haven't had with one. What further undeniable proof that blue states are shitholes and people would rather live in red states does one need?

They'll blame it on racism like they always do. The entire argument for the pro-crime polices we see in blue shitholes is that holding dindus accountable for their actions is racist.

I mean… yeah? 2020 was the end of what little accountability remained for blacks in America. Now the police can’t even confront them for fear of ending up in prison themselves. The only winning play for whites is to move away.

"It's just the "-ist-a-phobes" leaving. Good riddance." -some lefty, probably

I’m curious how do leftists explain this?

From what I have seen of this sort of stuff like cost of living, job availability, "quality of life", etc. Some have also pointed to the fact that there is data showing a lot of the new arrivals are in some cases more conservative than the locals (I know Florida and Texas found that data), so they say something like "Looks like we are just getting rid of all the Right Wing racist trash. Sounds like a good thing to me!"

Meanwhile, their states continue to die, and they just refuse to do anything because they dont think anything is wrong. Of course, this will result in a shift of political power away from them, so its all good in the end.

Here in Texas I used to hate seeing Californians arrive but then I saw the data showing most are coming because the are more conservative so I shut up about that lol

A lot of people did, because it was the Californians coming that made places like Colorado move more Blue. But from what I have seen of the recent data, apparently the Left-Wing Californians are either staying there, or if they are leaving they are going to other left-wing hubs like Portland or Seattle.

Same applies with the New York Expats, where the Left-Wing ones are going to places like Massachusetts or Vermont while the Right-Wingers are going to the Carolina's or Florida.

It’s still funny the left wing ones don’t want to stay in their blue paradise

Hope it works out for you.

Sincerely, Washington (it did not work out for us).

I heard Washington was once staunchly conservative. Is it a state that is held hostage by Seattle? Is the rest of the state red?

Washington has a Tech problem in that we got a lot of economic migrants from the Bay Area and Silicon Valley. Seattle has been shitlib as long as I remember, but that was like injecting shitlib directly into a vein.

That's why when I see Texas try to grow its own tech scene and recruit people/companies from the Bay Area and Silicon Valley, I get very worried for you guys.

It's also a permanent vote by mail state and so ripe for electoral shenanigans of the sort we saw in 2020. The state has a website where if you type in a person's name, DOB, and maybe one or two other pieces of info, you can fill out their ballot online, print it, sign/date it, and drop it off. And if you do that it invalidates the normal ballot they get in the mail.

Yea on one hand all the jobs coming in are a good thing but that also brings the people from those states who were with the company. My dad says republicans are going to have to play the democrats game with early voting

It should have resulted in a shift of political power. Instead, the most recent census simply overcounted blue states, generating five extra seats for democrats, and this “error” won’t be fixed until 2030.

On top of that, in the states that did lose seats, the Dem legislatures just removed a Republican district so it didn’t really move the needle.

I think they would also argue that COVID-induced spikes in remote work jobs allows the laptop class to move to lower COL areas wherever they please.

This is mostly what one would expect, although Louisiana and Nevada don't really fit the pattern. Louisiana is deep red, and while the climate there isn't my cup of tea it's clearly not a problem for the millions of people who live happily in the South. As for Nevada, it's a blue state for all intents and purposes. It's dishonest to portray it as purple when the Democrat wins every fucking time.

Nevada is less of a blue state than California, which is its main neighbor.

Ah, that makes sense. Just a bunch of colonists from the People's Republic of Commiefornia looking for a place where the same retarded policies haven't had enough time to turn the place into a 3rd world shithole yet.

Plot twist: Large chunk of these are dindus finding greener pastures.

Check out Miami beach in the last week.

the dindus are tourists, not residents.

miami beach has been like that during tourist season for a long time.

As someone who's lived in the south my whole life, I'm not sure how much I welcome these carpetbaggers.

I at least hope the things like abortion and anti-trans grooming bans keep the crazy lefties away like they claim. Because if you go somewhere like Austin, Dallas proper, etc. in Texas it's clear that a ton of the incoming people to this point were not like me.

I don't welcome them and the ones that come need to be shit tested. If they fail they need to be frozen out by communities

I wish they’d stay out and vote there…. Because they practically never vote a different way upon leaving their shithole

Can we see this as a per-capita measure? That might reveal some interesting data points.

But Paul Krugman told me that places like NYC and mayor DeBlasio are the future of America. 🤡
