For real. Last Ubisoft game I played was Assassins Creed 2, I emulated the PS3 version because I dont trust Ubishit's drm for the pc version.

The fact there's so many underaged kids playing their games that are marketed as 18+ and THEY tend to be the most toxic (we have the phrase squeakers for a reason). You get the police involved and it's a PR disaster as in the press you'll have stories of how Ubisoft got the police to visit 8 year old Timmy for calling a black guy a bitch.
Not to mention you're also openly admitting your running sn online Stazi, this is a Pandora's box most game companies know to not touch and simply point to the mute and block buttons..
I think you're kinda missing the big issue though where for a lot of companies they want to drive in newer players so they're doing risky shit to make their product seem good. While they aren't crashing in revenue, that stems more from whales willing to shell out more than actual player growth (if I remember right blizzard's playerbase was actually down 20%, prior to the whole china fiasco).
I can understand why they'd want to do something like this, with the elusive "female" gaming market being the next china/indian gaming one. That being said riot did a similar thing where they said they'd crack down on toxicity and encouraged people to report that kind of behavior, only for their system to crater after close to 110M reports were filed in the following month. With toxicity not really being defined and more just "I see stuff I don't like", I could see them getting a lot of things where it's someone not responding to DM's or not giving all of the kills to said player.
As soon as whales get involved, there's nothing you can do as that's getting into the realm of dictating what people can do with their money.
Best you can do is simply leave the games or companies that try to implement this, we ALL have backlogs of games we can play so we aren't at their mercy and the whales will eventually realise how alone they are and either keep funding it for nostalgia or move on.
Because normies don't know about that.

The simplest and easiest solution is to use a third party application to chat with your mates while playing. Ideally open source and self-hosted. I used to do a teamspeak server for our clan through dyndns.org when we were all doing the capeshit MMO (City of Heroes). The rules are ... "my rules, don't like them? GTFO."
That just gave me a rather horrific idea, when I was trying to think of anything a game could pull that couldn't somehow be worked around like that... Mandatory diversity training before someone can play the game. I'll probably delete this message at some point just so no one ever picks up on such a horrific idea.

OP isn't re-posting an article, though. They're posting an edited image. That's something I think needs doing away with. If someone can't be bothered posting a direct link to the content, or an archived page of the content, then clearly they don't deem it worth seeing. It should be treated the same as any other low-effort and/or off-topic submission.

My point still stands. Both direct links and archival sites exist. Not only should their use be expected, but outright required.
