Honestly it's normal not to strictly adhere to gender roles, it's fine (not always ideal, and it shouldn't be pushed so heavily) for men to have feminine tendencies and vice versa.
Why does it always manifest now as a need for validation? You can't just be a masculine woman or a feminine man or somewhere on that scale, you can't even have different moods at different times, you have to LITERALLY be changing your gender and you have to force everyone else to validate and reinforce it
