Thanos wanted the infinity stones, which can make anything true, to wish half the universe to die. In the movies, he did this to curb overpopulation so that the universe's resources wouldn't be drained. After he succeeded, he destroyed the stones.
For resources to run out they have to be finite. His idea is stupid because populations would rise again to previous levels in a few centuries, so nothing would be accomplished beyond delaying the inevitable for a geologically insignificant time. Since things will run out anyways, all he's doing is making people more miserable by killing the survivors' loved ones.
Apparently, in the comics, he loved the goddess of death or something, and he wanted to create death as a tribute to gain her love.
Wait wait wait.... couldn't he have just like.... used the stones to provide infinite resources to the universe and NO ONE would have to die? I am no expert on marvel stuff, but if that actually is the power of having all the infinity stones.... da hek?
I mean with those he even could have literally made more "space" and more planets for people live on so not even that resource could have run out.
The fact that the head writer tried to pull a 'My Way Or The High Way' temper tantrum in a group meeting with Kevin Feige, tells me everything I needed to know about this pampered brat and the workplace culture (DIE) that fosters that type of spoiled behavior.
The show could’ve been good had they followed the source material from 80s/90s. I always liked She-Hulk. This is a prime example of hiring crap writers who don’t understand comic books and don’t care to try. And once again comic books are generally something read by makes (probably 70/30) ratio. Yet they refuse to accept this
So, successfully predicting feedback and writing in any form of response into the show means the show is good? I guess I haven't heard of that stipulation before.
The writers so desperately want to win, but all they know is failure. So they lie to themselves to convince their shattered ego of even minor victory where none exists. It is sad, pathetic and also hilarious.
