[redact] the people who gave us the Food Pyramid and mask and vaccine mandates. Then you can start talking policy. But policy before [redact]ing is just going to get you Food Pyramid 2: Pyramid Harder (and with more budget).

And school lunches were shit 30 years ago let alone what they must be today. In a just world a child eating them would be treated as evidence of neglect.

Stop consuming so much sugar. Find some way to make good use of calories. Done.

Those are all buttfuckingly retarded.

Calories in < calories out. Walk frequently. Pick up heavy stuff. Wear comfortable shoes.

That is how you lose weight and stay in shape. What you eat matters way less than how much you eat and how you behave.

Sorry but as someone who has maintained actual fuck you muscle for 2 decades now, quality calories (specifically protein and animal fat) will always outdo “quantity”

Just having muscle burns calories. The problem with people who only say "eat less calories than you burn" and stop there, is that there is you cannot tell someone how many calories they are burning during what activities and what time of day. There is no standard calculation for an individual, just averages and estimates for the whole population. Also over what period of time is it calculated? How much caloric store is already in the person's body? What is their metabolism like? This is all before getting into the quality of nutrients consumed that you all are talking about.

It's generally a good rule of thumb and starting point though.

Animal protein+ animal fat. There is a reason every genetic ethnicity is taller and stronger in America, and it’s entirely due to the abundance of animal protein and animal fat. In short, eat your fucking bacon.

You can tell when you're eating more calories than you burn, because you're gaining weight. If that is the case, reduce food intake. You don't need to know absolute amounts to have actionable information.

Yes that's what I mean by a good starting point. Then you tailor as you go based on that feedback, which will change as they lose weight or gain muscle. Some people will burn calories faster with certain types of exercise, or have an easier time dieting by eating certain kinds of foods. I find intermittent fasting to be helpful too, it sort of resets the metabolic clock.

It still doesn’t stop the overall fact that every human ethnicity has been taller, stronger, and more intelligent off an animal fat and protein diet. Animal fat has a higher nutrient density than any other food source, and has been proven repeatedly. Lactose tolerance has also followed this trend.

I was talking about weight loss. Protein definitely helps build muscle. Weight loss is about calories.

Switched my diet to get 40-50% of my cals from protein amd it feels freaking amazing.

My autism made me make a spreadsheet to optimize calories and cost per gram of protein

Protein + animal fat is the best way to manage nutrition. Fibrous vegetables, natural sugars, etc are the side foods. If you can eat whole milk cottage cheese and find it sweet you are in the right dietary zone.

They leave out the most important thing, which is to stop demonizing healthy food. Animal fat, beef, butter, and eggs are extremely good for you. Eating fruits and vegetables is fine, but they will not give you what your body needs in its entirety.

Inverting the food pyramid would be a good start.

They'd rather let you die of malnutrition than recommend animal products because "muh climate change" and "muh animal rights".

You'll eat vegan and you'll like it, bigot!

No, #2 is trouble. Quantity of calories is the biggest problem in America today. You know who talks about quality of calories? Fat people, who "balance" their bag of cheetos with a salad slathered in fat. #1 and #4 are useless, as are the rest.

No you’re retarded. Animal protein+ animal fat are the two healthiest nutrients for humans despite calorie counts. There’s a reason the “carnivore” diet works so well to determine food allergens.

Did you notice that the article never mentions animal products?

That's what these people have in mind: state enforced veganism. If they get their way you won't get animal protein or fat.

No this isn't hyperbole. They're openly pushing this in Europe already. Only a matter of time until it gets to your neck of the woods.

The carnivore diet works because it's hard to overeat just animal products. It's not a matter of "quality" of calories.

Dumb statement, the carnivore diet works because of nutrient density, plain and simple

Fuck prescription food! I have a cat that requires prescription cat food and its the biggest pain in the ass. There are always shortages of the product that I need, and if I want to substitute it for the equivalent product from a different manufacturer, I have to get a new prescription from the vet.

I guarantee you that if Rx food becomes a thing for people, you'll see shortages and it'll also be used as a method of control.

#1 is terrible. Treat food as medicine? With the way things are going that would mean you'd need a prescription to buy meat.

The rest is just a constant string of "food is racist".

Regenerative farming is legit. If the land wasted on making ethanol was used for regenerative grazing you could feed the nation and have beef left over to export.

Isn't the whole idea of a prescription that you can, when medically necessary, get your hands on what are otherwise controlled substances? Prescribing fruits and vegetables is such a weird idea.
