So Goolag created these positions as a way pink haired gender studies freaks to grift out a living, and they got precisely what they paid for. They wanted to pay someone to call their models racist and sexist, and that's what they got. This story is just so odd.

It has long been my position that big tech is deliberately holding back both AI and genetics research because both fields are, for lack of a better term, extremely "based". Imagine the shitstorm that would be generated by AI continually profiling non-whites (or even worse, "noticing") or genetics researchers confirming that things like intelligence and empathy are heritable.

I can't track it down right now, but there's a wsj article about how serious science and technology companies and agencies are making funding contingent on (essentially) promises that research will forward racial and gender equity, progressivism, etc. They literally won't give you money to study and invent shit unless they have assurances that you will help, not harm, their political and ideological agendas.
I mean, that's the entire Psychology industry already so I believe it.
