“Biden’s economic policy team signaled that it will be the first administration ever to construct economic policy around issues like race, gender equality and climate change, rather than around traditional indicators like GDP or deficit ratios” (archive.is)

Our economy is going to be completely fucked. They want to pause everything while at the same time accelerating all this nonsense.

Bitcoin has almost doubled in value since a month ago. it's going to keep rising as bad news in the USA keep developing.

Dogecoin is a penny.

Regardless of your opinion on the future of crypto, only irrational exuberance discounts a bubble here.

I'll buy back in around 7-10k, but it's pretty classic mania. As little trust as I have in the USD, the zombie trudges on, and will continue to for awhile.

Time to sell Bitcoin. Bitcoin belongs to the CCP - the mining is all done on Chinese hardware at Chinese power plants. China's already been exploiting COVID as cover to destroy Hong Kong, and with Biden in the White House they're probably going to do the same to Bitcoin.

I've been saying Bitcoin is shit for this reason among others. I'm a huge crypto believer, but it has to be a crypto that is truly decentralized. No way I'm trusting anything that's concentrated in China (or concentrated anywhere). Seeing how easy it is for companies to be compromised by SJWs I don't trust any concentration for something like a global monetary system.

It's a shame that bitcoin became the go to crypto simply because it was first.

They have over 70%. That the hardware doesn't belong to them is a legal fiction that will be swept aside when the totalitarian communist dictatorship arrests the owners for money laundering and confiscates their stuff.

They will push MMT policies.

MMT policies are unsustainable and they will result in massive hyperinflation.

The economy will be fucked.

There is no way to go full money printer go brrr and not face the consequences.

They can prop up the stock market for a little while but it will still pop.

The housing market will undoubtedly get demolished under Biden/Harris.

The Democrats of today are not behaving like they did in 2008 or 2012.

That is the problem.

They have gone full tilt on crushing opposition, pushing their woke religion and forcing all of their policies through.

You won't get Obama's third term.

This will be something far worse.

Look at Biden's Cabinet picks and compare it to Obama 08 and Obama 12.

You are vastly underestimating what is coming.

They'll do the same kind of fuckery that had Clinton "balance the budget."

Spoiler: it was smoke and mirrors. Accounting tricks "balanced the budget", not actually balancing spending & taxes.

Veritas, the soviet newspaper, would talk about record harvests made possible only by the grit of comrades that were using state-techniques for farming. The people standing in line to the state food market would read this, then finally make it inside and see bare shelves.

Housing market will be "great" but no one is buying or selling. Stock market will be "great" and hitting new records but there will be equal new records in the price of essentials like gas, food, etc.

Here's a black pill: nobody. Without surviving at least a decade or two of proper commie misery, you won't have enough people who will value freedom you (in most generic sense) gave up so easily now.

In best case scenario, after that decade your people might realize this sucks.

In worst case, everyone who could wake up and act will get disarmed by that time and it will extend your "good" times by another few decades.

Good luck folks, all signs tell me you will need it very much

▲ 26 ▼
– onetruephilosoraptor [S] 26 points 5 years ago +26 / -0

Your "blackpill" is just unnecessary demoralization. This kind of soul crushing shit is the message they want to push on the public.

At the speed things are accelerating, decades are far too large of a unit of measure.

Things will be decided much sooner.

Also, what makes you think you too won't be suffering in these horrific conditions.

Globalism is everywhere. Where is a place you could live in that is immune to this?

Your "blackpill" is just unnecessary demoralization.

If you (once again, generic) can be affected by demoralization this shallow, you just confirm my point that you lack the will.

At the speed things are accelerating, decades are far too large of a unit of measure.

History knows examples of accelerations like that and people were still willing to put up with it for a decade before taking action. I guess the good thing for US is that there is no external force on this rock strong enough to suppress it's internal turmoil outside of direct participation in World War. Another good thing is that unlike previous examples, this is somewhat new for most living Americans, so you guys might put up with it a bit less time.

Also, what makes you think you too won't be suffering in these horrific conditions.

To start with, my own living conditions by American standards are barely superior to those of homeless. There's no way down for me beyond my own government going full commie again. Which is not impossible, but still seems somewhat unlikely.

Where is a place you could live in that is immune to this?

Nowhere, but as i said before, my standard of living is already low.

▲ 13 ▼
– onetruephilosoraptor [S] 13 points 5 years ago +13 / -0

Sorry to hear about your current living conditions.

Demoralization and blackpills won't help any of us improve the current state of things.

History shows us that no totalitarian regime can rule permanently.

Prepare for the worst and hope for the best is all one can do.

At the speed things are accelerating, decades are far too large of a unit of measure.

Agreed, especially if the commies are absolutely serious about pushing their insane policies so quickly and it's not just talk.

They are turning up the heat on the pot too high, too fast and the frogs are absolutely going to jump out like crazy. This is their fatal mistake and I hope it will crush them big time once the chips are down.

There's a preference cascade coming. The moment a critical mass of white people decide that they don't give a flying fuck about being called racist, things will begin to move very quickly.

I used to think the same thing that it might be a decade of shit first. But a lot of that is based on history and the type of revolution needed to fix this historically has taken time to get enough support.

What's different here is how crazy they are pushing things. I expected a year or two of quiet scheming to let things calm down while they use that time and their propaganda to convince more people that it's all going to be ok under their rule. Sort of like how Bezmenov talked about normalization. They seemed to totally skip that. Instead they've got a huge population of agitated people that they aren't trying to calm down but agitate more.

I still think the turnaround will be slower than most of us expect, but not something people will put up with for decades.

There's no who. The most important thing is to remember the most corrosive elements of our old society, and those who propagate it, when we reconstitute our methods of government. This nation is likely to dissolve. I think it's prudent to consider the possibility.

Aside from that being meaningless word salad along the lines of "constructing a building around the music note C-flat", there's one burning question it raises:

Is it better to invest in precious metals, or canned food and ammo?

permalink save report block reply
▲ 7 ▼
– almond_activator 7 points 5 years ago +7 / -0

Precious metals will get you as far as consent. You'll survive as long as there isn't severe scarcity.

Food, water, and ammo will carry you as far as your morals will allow when, not if, severe scarcity rears its ugly head.

Buy both, but remember: scarcity applies to food, water purification, and ammo. It'll be gone long before the rest of the world realizes they need to buy it.

That wordsalad sounds like a cool architectural project for those who know a lot about soundwaves and the sort, it's more like "planning a military invasion where we try to maximize successful backflips by our soldiers". You can hit your stupid goal, but doing so will almost exclusively lead to everyone dying.
