C taxes. These taxes are highly regressive and would kill the poor and middle classes. It will end up increasing the prices of everything by a several fold.

The C tax money will be used along with printing, as continual stimulus payments (think UBI) that will be phased depending on income level.
The result is that everyone will "earn" $200,000 (to use a round number) but it will have the purchasing power of $20,000 today. Gas and Milk will be $30/gallon, a domestic flight will be $5000. A new laptop or phone $10,000.
Then only the elites will have access to the resources, the rest (middle and lower classes today) will be part of a new permanent underclass. McMansions will fall into disrepair (no one will have $150,000 for a new roof) and current middle class lifestyle will be impossible to afford.

Trump was only controlled opposition in as much as the DC swamp republicans could do it. While he was wealthy, without genuine help and support from people who really understood what was going on in Washington it was easy to render Trump ineffective.
I still think he came in naive as to how deep the rot is/was, believed it was mostly from the D side, and took too much advice from people who hated him. Trump has plenty of fault as well, but he was in a nearly impossible situation.
Trump needs to pass the mantle and not run again, not that I think it matters who runs on the R side, they will lose.

Few people understand the impact of Stalin's military purges had during Operation Barbarossa. It ended up costing the Soviet Union millions of lives more than necessary, both civilian and military. The war through ~Stalingrad was a horrific meat grinder of incompetence on the part of the Soviet Union as they barely hung on at the cost of slowing down German tanks with stacks of bodies. After that, Hitler's stubbornness cost their army millions as well, paving the way for the invasion of Germany by the Soviets and the dropping of the iron curtain.
I guess risking a repeat of those failures (even if the chances are small) is worth destroying the military culture required to win wars. I mean, if it stops just one person from getting offended...

Comments were indicating that white farmers got most of the money in the past, and garbage about the decline in numbers of "farmers of color" in the last century, so now "farmers of color" need help. I would be shocked if the past help didn't go to white farmers in the same situation as black, and there aren't fewer white farmers than 100 years ago too.
At least about half of the comments were correctly calling this out as racist.

People argue that renewable power is going to be so much cheaper than fossil and nuclear. Nuclear is only expensive because it is NIBYed to death and fuel reprocessing is disallowed .
However I argue that when renewable makes up [a high fraction] of your electrical supply then a huge amount of redundancy is going to be needed or else events like this are going to shut down the economy. I wonder if that cost is going to be factored in?
