I'm pretty upset at wikipedia, as Quinn identifies as non-gender and therefore not a woman. I expected so much more than this casual transphobia from them.

Yes I really do. I do not think there were many things Chauvin could have done to keep George Floyd out of the ground, but there are many things Chauvin could have done to keep himself out of jail. Those are the same things that would have helped relax the strain on a society already coming apart.

I can see you're being down voted to hell. But Exactally this. Normies are stupid as fuck and when they see a smug asshole cop slowly killing a black man in front of a bunch of people without a moment of consideration for the man, they now believe this happens all the time. Floyd gave BLM a rallying cry to destory society and chauvin is reposible for that in a much more serious way than he is responsible for killing George Floyd.

Having been to court I will tell you that the if you can't afford an attorney part of that statement is dead serious. As a couch surfing college student I had a car and 3k for tuition. They were like nope you can afford it. Knowing I would get crushed without one I spent all my tuition money to fight what was essentially a clerical error.

I feel this is malicious, but I don't understand the point of why. The video doesn't show anything we don't have better videos of. This doesn't seem to be hiding any evidence so why?

This is all fairly normal procedures for any legislative (really any policy body) meeting. House numbers aren't normally required, but identifying yourself is required. Maligning individual motives and predefined topics keep the meetings from going off the rails. Keeping the crazies from discussing the goals of the illuminati when you are discussing a new street light is important, trust me -- or don't I guess.

Two things, it's a real virus and they've lost the reins on that one. Can't control the virus and can't control the mob. They just claim to speak for the mob and then run cover when the mob turns mostly peaceful.

I don't have cable at home, when I travel I put Family Guy on for the same reason I put Forensic Files on. It's background noise while I code, the stations that play it marathon it for long periods, and it really doesn't matter if I miss large parts of the show I will get the same experience out of it.

Don't watch. As someone who just shrugs my shoulders at all the race and genderswaps, diversity quotas and the like. I also tend to like Kevin Smith projects. I was still really dismayed at the He-Man reboot. The plot is trash, character motivations make no sense. it's much too violent to be a children's show and much too insipid to be adult animation.

I enjoyed Kushiel's Dart. Intelligent courtesan acts as a spy on her assignments in a non-magic fantasy medieval setting. Realistic and believable strengths and faults. Lots of competent male side characters. My only complaint is it takes a while before the action kicks in.

Here let me google that for you.

https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/speeches-remarks/2021/07/13/remarks-by-president-biden-on-protecting-the-sacred-constitutional-right-to-vote/

The line before the one quoted is: " while this broad assault against voting rights is not unprecedented, it’s taking on a new and, literally, pernicious forms."

It's like when the media cut the lines of trump saying there were "very fine people, on both sides" Ignoring the part of that sentence where he said white supremacist's are bad guys, turns around and the media's like Trump says white supremacist's are very fine people. I

Quote tweeted headlines to make it seem someone is saying the opposite of what they are saying are bad... they're bad when the Dems do it they're bad when the Right does it. I wanted you all to know (in case you cared) that this take by both beanie man and @trumpjew2 is that. If you don't care that Biden is saying the opposite of what he is being reported to have said, then you can disregard my message.

That quote is wildly out of context. Biden was complaining about republicans and saying they are trying to pass laws to change who is in charge of counting the votes. I'm not agreeing with Biden, but one of the things that has driven me here to seek news is the smear media, and that title presented like that is exactly that type of misinformation.

Rent free indicates he's gone and of no consequence. Seems from CPAC the man is staging a comeback.

With the hand of the surgeon(?) for size reference It's not a 22 week baby. a 22 week baby would be smaller than the hand. It's not really at what size the are more or less alive, it is always from conception alive, it's always from conception human. The question is at what point do we allow the little human to hijack someone else's body. I'm of the opinion about 3 months before squatter's rights kick in and you can't evict without 6 months notice. But I don't have much interest in this fight being middle age myself and lacking a utereus. My only point was that the initial post was an emotional appeal (with gruesome pic) to use an event that doesn't really happen to argue against abortions in general.

This post is pretty much pro-life propaganda. That deceased baby in the picture is well past legal abortion age. I'm not well versed in all the laws surrounding abortions, but pictures like this are meant to cause an emotional reaction. My wife and I miscarried around 10 weeks (the timeframe 95% of abortions take place), and the fetus resembled a small blob and nothing like this. I'm guessing this picture is around 28-30 weeks old would be illegal in most places and In my opinion you could not find a doctor to preform this operation, but mostly pretending this is what the average abortion looks like is a wide distortion of any reasonable resemblance of facts.

Has our reading comprehension really gotten so poor that we don't know what the word "more" means?

Not to defend the guy, but to avoid the strawman. He isn't claiming the jokes have to remain funny or claiming you can't try and fail. He's saying just apologize, it's not hard or expensive. If the joke isn't funny or ages poorly just apologize.

In my personal opinion it's never that easy. There are way too many people who get offended over the smallest slight. Also once you apologize once it never seems to be enough for this brain dead mob. There's a time and place for apologies and these self-righteous pricks aren't getting one from me.

I mean if the audit does turns up something, it would in fact threaten democracy.... by pointing out we don't have one.
