A few years back in one of my medical classes I had the distinct honor of a professor dumb enough to assign me a presentation of prenatal surgical procedures. I made the equivalent of a gore thread showing the limited, but actual abortion video procedures used and the “medical waste” created from the surgery. About half the class walked out and the dean tried to get me in trouble but abortion is listed as a prenatal surgery and still in practice, so she had to back down.

Half the class that is "pro-choice" and doesn't want to see the consequence of that choice.

Obviously. Abortion is all about eliminating consequences.

This is honestly tame, try looking at the pile of mangled tiny developing hands and legs from first term abortion or the even more fun third term where the infant is delivered backwards until only the head needs to be pushed out, the doctor then cuts the vocal cords, makes an incision into the base of the skull, scrambles the brain, and crushes the skull so the patient receives the minimal amount of vaginal damage. We wouldn’t want to have someone forced to hear the screams of an infant being murdered, or for the patient to receive any pain from her choices.

Dang. So even if it's badly premature and not coming out by itself naturally, the baby will be aware once forced out past a certain point in development?

It depends on the fetus, but I’ve seen a few first term abortions that were still moving after being pushed out until they died. The fetus develops a neural spline within the first two weeks which becomes the base for the spinal cord, female fetuses actually develop the base of their eggs so the genetic material that would have been your grandchildren is already present by then.

Damn son. I initially skipped over your comment at the top but after this one I got curious where your experience came from.

Based as fark.

One of my friends was born just under 3 months premature.

Obviously, they survived. With modern medical technology, people can be born VERY early (I think the record is 4.5 months premature?) and still be able to survive and thrive.

It's like when they put those disgusting pictures on packs of cigarettes to discourage people from smoking. Do women have to look at things like this before having an abortion? Maybe they should.

This is true for so many things. Sometimes you have to actually see what evil exists in the world to understand what you're up against. That video of those two Swedish girls begging to see their mom before some fucking terries decapitate an innocent tourist is absolutely heart wrenching.

People are all too eager to import and advocate for opening pandora's box when it's disguised as philanthropy or "bodily autonomy".

That's just gross. Sort of backs up why I'm against abortion though as it's not religious or based on it being murder or whatever, it just seems like a scummy thing to do. It's just to let women be sluts with no repercussions.

I saw an article I almost posted here a couple weeks ago about a valedictorian chick who did one of those "stunning and brave" things and co-opted her graduation speech to grandstand for abortion. With things like how she'd worked too hard to risk destroying her life when her birth control quit working or whatever. You know, you could consider closing your legs once in a while. Then you know your life wouldn't be ruined by the baby you won't have.

This is the tip of the abortion iceburg. There is a very real reason abortion clinics keep their training and teachings hidden behind medical journals and scholastic paywalls.

It comes down to the right to live versus the quality of life, and abortion to save the live of a mother or in the case of incest and rape is the toughest case to make because you are forced to choose between an infant who has committed no crime and a mother who has committed no crime. This moral dilemma is rough also because if we allow abortion in the case of rape then alleged rapes would also skyrocket. The simple fact of the matter is unless there is a medical necessity for the life of the mother I do not support abortion. It is much more rational to make someone endure a hardship for 9 months and then make the choice for adoption than to allow a quick decision that takes away an infants life who has done nothing to deserve that fate. I believe that we also as a society have not tried to aid children without parents, the money we pour into facilities meet the same fate as any governmental program for children like education.

It's easy man.

Do you murder another human being who did nothing, because someone was raped? If you think about it, the answer should be fairly fucking obvious.

Babies (actual newborn little babies) are in such demand to be adopted it's INSANE. Most couples are very willing to adopt immediately post-birth, but that desire dries up when the kid is already 5 and been getting kicked out of foster homes.

I had about 150 foster "siblings" during the time that my parents were serving as a foster care home and only 1 was a newborn baby, and that small baby was ridiculously abused and has a list of medical conditions that make Epsteins rap sheet look small (Who we later adopted) because if She was at all normal, She wouldn't have ever even hit the Foster system. The "Brad and Angelinas" of the world would have already grabbed her way way way before that.

Suffice it to say that there is literally a never ending list of married couples looking to adopt an unwanted newborn.

Don’t give liberals ideas, I’ve already seen a graduated nurse claim that abortions were the equivalent of pooping because our shit has living bacteria in it.

I was close to being aborted from a single mother. I suffered neglect and abuse as she was extraordinarily unfit to care for anyone but herself, but thank God I am alive.

I'm at a point now where I think I totally understand and agree with the catechism regarding sexuality. Birth control bad, porn bad, fornication bad.

I was still a small child back in the 80’s when my mom was pregnant with my brother and developed severe kidney problems and eventually had to have major surgery. Three different doctors advised that she consider aborting the pregnancy, but she refused to listen as she’s deeply religious. They pressed her again and again, assuring her my brother would be profoundly physically or mentally retarded. She told them to get fucked.

Today my brother is a 35 year old programmer for an international bank with two kids of his own, absolutely nothing wrong with him in the slightest.

Obviously not saying “ignore your doctors”, just giving my 2 cents. I’m not deeply religious personally, but seeing images like this seriously makes me want to don some chain mail, pick up a sword and do the lord’s work.

This post is pretty much pro-life propaganda. That deceased baby in the picture is well past legal abortion age. I'm not well versed in all the laws surrounding abortions, but pictures like this are meant to cause an emotional reaction. My wife and I miscarried around 10 weeks (the timeframe 95% of abortions take place), and the fetus resembled a small blob and nothing like this. I'm guessing this picture is around 28-30 weeks old would be illegal in most places and In my opinion you could not find a doctor to preform this operation, but mostly pretending this is what the average abortion looks like is a wide distortion of any reasonable resemblance of facts.

Your miscarriage “blob” at 10 weeks would normally have ten fingers, ten toes, eyes, facial features, and a full internal organ system to include a fully developed heart. The abortion pictured is about an average second trimester abortion, or about 20-22 weeks. Tell me at what size would you deem a human more or less alive? Does it make it less alive to be the size of a quarter versus a handful?

With the hand of the surgeon(?) for size reference It's not a 22 week baby. a 22 week baby would be smaller than the hand. It's not really at what size the are more or less alive, it is always from conception alive, it's always from conception human. The question is at what point do we allow the little human to hijack someone else's body. I'm of the opinion about 3 months before squatter's rights kick in and you can't evict without 6 months notice. But I don't have much interest in this fight being middle age myself and lacking a utereus. My only point was that the initial post was an emotional appeal (with gruesome pic) to use an event that doesn't really happen to argue against abortions in general.

I know this is difficult for someone talking out of their ass, but a 22 week fetus is equivalent to about 11 inches long in normal development. Try reading, and even better, actually practicing in things before you pretend to have insight.
