No. Right now the media is working overtime trying to spin the debate as a Kamala victory, and the Dems and normies are lapping it up. There's a bunch of blackpilling on the pro-Trump side because people who spend too much time on fucking Twitter had convinced themselves that Trump would massacre her and are disappointed that that didn't happen. The betting odds are reflecting that.

It will take a few days for the media spin to falter and for people on our side to calm down and take a more sober analysis, which I believe is that Trump actually did pretty well. The betting odds will reflect that as well. Spread-betting is just as reactive as the actual stock market. Prone to momentary shocks, but on a longer term much more reflective of the real state of affairs.

The betting odds are a much better indicator of the national mood than any "opinion poll." Right now, the spin is on full steam ahead trying to give Kamala a boost, and speculators are overreacting and moving their money around. It will settle back down in Trump's favor in another few days after people have had enough time to digest and recognize that just because this wasn't another Biden debate, that doesn't mean he lost.

Far more frequent in India is for a woman to accuse a man of rape or of consensual extramarital sex when he did nothing to her and wants nothing to do with her, as a way to force him to marry her.

Just saying.

I'm looking forward to hearing "Kamala is the leader we need! She's a go-getter! She's tough and gets things done! She a strong independent black* woman who don't need no man!" But simultaneously "waaaah, Trump is such a meanie, how dare he bully this poor girl!"

At the same time

Who's side am I supposed to be on in this debacle?

Oh, right. The kid's side. Fuck the rest of them.

The Saxon Stories he wrote are great, and the show they made out of those books (The Last Kingdom) was actually pretty good. An accurate portrayal of early medieval England, no diversity and very little wokeness.

Listen, we all know the real worry here is how we prevent the Far-Right from doing even more horrendous things like . . . voting for a political party we don't like.

What we need is to form our own Diogenes Club and gatekeep all the pussies so that it's just made up of antisocial autists.

The Canadian in me is torn between disgust at the purely monstrous nature of this and relief at finally not being the worst country in the world for it.

Yes, the fascism of leftist hand-wringers who are "concerned" about the level of violence against women and minorities in his books. That, and the fascists fans who didn't like how the show ended, because George knows better than anyone how many of those plotlines were what he had planned for the novels.

You're being a little too hopeful. Sahra Wagenknecht is an Iranian Communist. Her entire "movement" has been astroturfed by the media. She is not trustworthy.

To be clear, the BSW is only nominally anti-woke. They're an astroturfed "left-wing anti-immigration" party that was planted by the establishment as a spoiler for the AFD.

This is an interesting take. I always figured the accuracy bullshit in XCOM was a deliberate mechanic concocted by lazy, idea-deficient devs who couldn't think of a more creative way to make the game challenging.

Either way, for a gamer like me who values story every bit as much as mechanics, it was always immersion-breaking. Supposedly the soldiers recruited to the XCOM project are the best of the world's elite special operators, yet they can't hit a barn with a barn-seeking missile.

Regardless of the reason for it, it's extremely frustrating. Not in a fun way, either, like games with a good problem-solving element can be frustrating, but also force you to find another solution. In XCOM it never mattered how good your strategy was or how well you maneuvered your troops. Getting the drop on the aliens never made a difference. You're supposed to be leading an elite military unit, but even your seasoned veterans can pop out from behind a perfect piece of cover and shoot at an alien point blank, only to vaporize a tree and end up getting cut to pieces. It's stupid.

I want to hire everyone who worked for Blizzard back in the 90s and have them remake Diablo 3, Diablo 4 and Starcraft 2.

The Western liberal language of "human rights" has been hijacked by all of the forces in the world that don't believe in those rights and refuse to uphold them, but use them instead as a weapon against the only peoples who have ever cared about them.

The UN, comprised of corrupt, oppressive third-world governments, shrieks about "human rights" whenever any Western country says they're going to do something about human trafficking and illegal migration, so they can continue to use the prospect of emigration to the West as a means of diffusing political doscontent at home. George Soros and the WEF will crackle about "human rights" whenever you propose depriving them of their legions of cheap slave labor. The Israelis and the Arabs will both unironically use "human rights" as an excuse for continuing to massacre each other. The Climate Change Cult will cite "human rights" as justification for insisting we de-industrialize our economies and destroy our own standard of living. And Justin Trudeau will preach about the "human right" to not be exposed to a virus, something utterly impossible to protect people from in the first place, as a reason to deprive 20% of his own populace of their human rights.

That language at this point is so utterly pozzed that I'm not sure it's salvageable.

Some of them will be turned off, some of them will be bullied back onto the reservation. Notice the MSM-wide hit pieces being published about RFK now. "He's a felon because of the bear thing. He's a felon because of the whale thing. He betrayed his family. Do you really want to support a guy like that?" It doesn't work as well as it used to, but it still has an effect, especially on Boomers.
