I saw an article recently about people doing that, and some of them got their vaccines in other countries to avoid this. I'm sure if you tried hard enough though, you could manage to get vaccinated somewhere that doesn't bother to check.
I don't agree with the anti-Jew conspiracies at all but censoring it on here is just a step towards turning the place into Reddit-lite. You make one group of people protected from criticism, the question is what's the next group going to be?
I thought the point of this site was so we could discuss things without being censored by Reddit for sharing opinions they don't like. If on here the mods also censor opinions they don't like, then what's the point of the site?
You're telling me sticking cloth in your face, restricting the amount of air you can breath in and creating a moist place for bacteria to live, for hours every day might not be a good idea? Who knew!
This is exactly why at work, where we have to wear masks, I pull it down whenever I'm not near customers. Whether that's enough to prevent permanent impact to my health I don't know, but it's better than nothing.
The concept of mathematics being purely objective is unequivocally false, and teaching it is even much less so. Upholding the idea that there are always right and wrong answers perpetuate objectivity [sic] as well as fear of open conflict [sic].
I'd certainly love for these people to explain how exactly math being objective is "unequivocally false". I'd like for them to demonstrate how, for instance, if you have 2 apples, then add 2 more apples, the answer can be anything other than 4.
To be fair, identifying as something other than a human being (aka otherkin) has been around for a while, r/tumblrinaction was making fun of this kind of thing years ago. It's only relatively recently that the otherkin pronoun absurdity has begun to spread elsewhere.
The sub has evolved past just being about Gamergate to politics in general, which I think is good. But that is naturally going to lead to people discussing conspiracies. Picking and choosing what opinions you think are valid or not isn't a good moderation strategy unless you want this place to end up like Reddit. Saying X conspiracy is not allowed to be discussed sets precedent and is a slippery slope to banning more discussions.
The principal of Commodore Sloat, Fowzigiah Abdolcader, notified parents Wednesday of the need to come up with a new name, because John D. Sloat was a colonizer who “claimed/stole” California from Mexico, according to the committee.
They realize California is not in Mexico, right? Maybe we should give it back, since these people clearly aren't a fan of the people who made it part of the US.
In a September meeting, panelist Mariposa Villaluna urged the committee to include Thomas Edison Elementary School on the list to change, saying he euthanized animals, including Topsy the elephant
I guess naming schools after veterinarians is also out of the question, then.
That work includes a recommendation to change the name of Dianne Feinstein Elementary. The school made the list because, as mayor in 1986, Feinstein reportedly replaced a vandalized Confederate flag, one of several historic flags flying in front of City Hall at the time.
hahahahahaha
Abraham Lincoln High is also on the list, based on the former president’s treatment of American Indian and native peoples.
I seem to recall this Lincoln guy doing something very important regarding another minority group... but nah, let's focus on the fact that he didn't always treat Indians in the most kindest way possible. It's not as if practically everyone else was treating them the same way during that time...
This whole idea is stupid, why on earth do they need to 'prepare' for this? Why does it matter to them? They can't even let people say what they want anymore, it has to go along with their narrative or else. It's insane.
If it was an archive link you couldn't watch the video, which defeats the purpose of sharing it.
