a) Do you actually think game companies care enough to put brigade detection in their auto-flag software? Can you name one that has done it so far?

b) As with the anti-cheat software (which I agree will always be one step behind), whatever restrictions you try to put on the flagging system to prevent abuse will also always be one step behind.

That Democrats have raised as many questions as they have about Biden's viability shows a huge difference between the major parties

It does, but not in the way they try to portray it. 3.5 years of telling us "don't believe your lying eyes! Biden is sharper than ever!" and then only having some of them pivot a little after he fouls up in a way that can't be hidden is not a good thing.

All you need to do is have a system where if an account gets enough complaints about cheating it gets flagged and only ever plays against other people with the same flag.

Absolutely not. Those systems are beyond easy for bad actors to take advantage of. "Oh, you beat me? Well, me and my friends all just mass-reported you as a cheater, enjoy!" And asking for manual review is pointless because the people they have doing the manual reviews (if there are people doing it, it's probably automated systems) don't care.

Honestly, the best way to do it is to just do privately hosted servers/games and kick people you don't like. Would fix virtually all problems that are cited as issues in multiplayer games. But that's too easy and not profitable enough a solution.

And the article says AoC is going to try to impeach the 2/3 of the court that made the ruling.

the fact that they are just now running around like headless chickens tells me they expected the American public to just eat shit and say nothing about the dementia in chief.

Given the huge meltdown among both the politicos and the media, I really think they expected they could drug Joe up enough that he could act semi-human for a couple hours, but he's too-far gone for that.

They ended up sticking around in games journalism so they could take it over and fortify another beachhead in their war.

Or, they were just too terrible at their job that nobody else wanted to take them, so they were forced to stay on at games sites.

Multiple J6ers have been charged with contempt of court for not appearing at trial after the prosecution has had them moved, and then not told the prisons about the defendant's next trial date.

Randy Weaver has entered the chat?

Eh, I maybe felt that way for a little bit. But for me his ridiculous arrogance started grating way too much and way too fast.

What's it for? As far as I know it's zero.

Pretty sure Obama has 0 convictions, but that makes yet another part of the tweet a mistake.

If Obama has 1 felony conviction and Trump has 34, then Trump has 34 times more convictions of Obama. If Obama has 0 convictions, then "X times more convictions" is meaningless. You might as well say "Trump as eleventy billion times more convictions than Obama" since anything times 0 is 0.

Just another failure to math from him.

But this election is still a choice between someone who has fought for ordinary folks his entire life and someone who only cares about himself.

An especially ironic line since I found out yesterday that - in addition to all his other crooked behavior - he was on the congressional committee which investigated Waco. And the conclusion he reached was "Well, maybe the FBI and ATF did a couple little oopsies, but they had legitimate reasons to investigate Waco and it was all the Davidians fault and the Davidians burned down their own compound and killed themselves." Seems like even as far back as 1995 he was perfectly happy to use the federal legal system as a cudgel to smash ordinary people.

Three female staff members, who used to work closely with Schwab, said that he made suggestive comments to them that made them uncomfortable over the course of several decades.

OK, as much as I hate Klaus, this is obviously false. I refuse to believe that Klaus would actually make advances to women. Getting turned on by robots, piles of money, news stories about putting arbitrary restrictions on people with less money than him, sure. But can't see him getting turned on by humans.

And shouting about how they need to defend democracy by voting for the party that either is:

  1. going to run a brain-dead old guy who is obviously being controlled by behind-the-scenes unelected bureaucrats because he can't string a coherent sentence together

OR

  1. going to boot said old guy off the ticket and appoint a replacement who nobody had any say in because the primary was cancelled.

Real democracy there.

Not sure when this video was released, but I have to imagine it was recent as they got a friendly bear vs evil men in there too.

In a 6-3 ruling, the court said the challengers did not have legal grounds — or standing — to bring the case against the Biden administration because the states and individuals could not show they were directly harmed by the communication between federal officials and social media platforms.

I am so horribly frustrated with "no standing" on countless supreme court cases.

Just further proof that these people don't actually buy or play games.

The gameplay trailer for the new dragon age: 4.2 million views, 84k likes, 156k dislikes

Zelda trailer: 2.9 million views, 114k likes, 3.7k dislikes.

Seems like the Twitterati are one again in the extreme minority. If only people would stop listening to them.

I promise to staple a Green Card to anyone who graduates from ANY college, even 2-yr community colleges

No, absolutely not. If you restricted it by majors, maybe, but why do we need more liberal arts majors in the US?

But, even then, grade inflation in colleges is absurd. From a 2019 article

A 50-plus-year nationwide study of the history of college grading finds that, in the early 1960s, an A grade was awarded in colleges nationwide 15 percent of the time. But today, an A is the most common grade given in college; the percentage of A grades has tripled, to 45 percent nationwide. Seventy-five percent of all grades awarded now are either A’s and B’s.

A college diploma these days, unless it's from specific schools in specific degrees, is worth about as much as toilet paper.

And to those tech guys on that call? I've seen no evidence over the last 14 years that this problem has gotten better

the required covid-19 vaccination (Unless exempt!)

Wait, what? There's no way they're listing "covid jab rquired" on the application page, even they aren't that dumb.

No, they are that dumb.

The company is committed to public health and to the safety and wellbeing of our colleagues, visitors, and volunteers. As such, we have adopted a policy requiring all employees be vaccinated against COVID-19 or to meet the legal guidelines for an exemption.

I meant balls for someone defending Vigano publicly. I agree the Vatican is in very short supply of them.

Wonder which politicians, if any, are going to be dreaming of goose-feather quills this time. Or, perhaps more importantly, if any are will they have half of the balls Frederick had?
