I remember doing the math one time on Nerdrotic new livestream. I think it’s called the Forbidden Frontier. Or something like that. Anyways, it’s a two hour stream and he spends half of that time reading superchats. I’m beginning to think they don’t have any content if they don’t read those. That could be a problem.
After seeing what’s going on in my area after new train started running I’m inclined to believe this. Three homeless people threw themselves in front of a train, another homeless man was clipped by one, and a lady “broke down” on the tracks with her less than a year old daughter in the car. We didn’t even have this train running for a year.
This is another reason why I can’t stand people like him or the Quartering. They can’t be bothered to stick to one thing. They have to dip their fingers in everything. I get commenting here or there about politics (I would still rather not have that because the lefties ruined it), but you’re running a fuckin gaming site. Stick to what you know.
I agree 100%. What makes me not optimistic about the outcome though is that when the likes of Kotaku and Polygon dies off game publishers will refuse to work with anyone else because we’re the type of people that won’t bend the knee to these publishers. We won’t look a bit more favorably at games because of a threat that publishers will refuse to send review copies. Real gamers do deserve a voice, but game publishers don’t think that same way.
So there’s one thing I need to point out in this video. He mentions that he wants gaming news sites to just die off already. Which that’s fine. Sites like Kotaku, Polygon, and Waypoint offer nothing of value. The problem, however, is that we’re not the only ones that want gaming news sites to die, so does game publishers and console manufacturers. If anything they would either want the likes of Kotaku and Polygon or have nothing at all. They want full control of information. If there’s no one to talk bad about their game or console then more people will think everything is okay. If everyone thinks everything is okay then that means more sales for shitty products. And before anyone brings up places like Reddit just remember that it’s only a couple of major subs that they need to worry about and that it easily controlled by power mods.
This doesn’t mean that we need Kotaku or Polygon. No, instead what we need is less of their journalists. We need sites that have journalistic integrity that has an in with game publishers and has the capabilities of getting interviews or previews of games. The problem is that you’re not going to get anyone like that. Because in order for you to get an in with these publishers you have to start at these major news sites. Once you start there then that’s it. You’re already controlled.

I have a file server at home that I keep personal documents on. Right now it’s running Windows 10 and I use a 3rd party firewall program on it. Do you know what Windows services I need to block to keep it from phoning home?
It’s always the fat fucks for some reason. And I sort of feel bad for Linus because he’s going to have to accept this along with all of the baggage and he’s going to have to give into every single one of that landwhale’s demands. Or else Canada is going to fuck him over backwards. It’s gotta suck running a large business like that and finding out one of your hosts decided to troon out.
Mine was fairly recent. It was because he was criticizing the American healthcare system while praising his own during when Mr Beast was paying for a bunch of eye surgeries. Granted, I wasn’t watching much of LTT anyways because of the clickbait thumbnails and titles. And say what you will about “well he has to do that”, I’m only saying that’s something I’m not into. It’s why I watch very little Nerdrotic and his crew.
There’s ways to have smart home devices, but instead of it phoning home it would connect to your personal server. I remember seeing it about a year or so ago. I just haven’t bothered to implement it because it’s a little bit costly and it takes some time to get started.
