All I know is that Square-Enix, Capcom and Sega are fags and I won't be supporting them anymore.

A bunch of shit, but the main stuff is how heavily they censored PSO2. It has that "Type 1" and "Type 2" nonsense for genders as well. Oh, and their community manager for PSO2 is a tranny.

They'll probably survive fine because a lot of Japanese companies focus on having a consistent consumer base so they'll appeal to a niche audience they'll always buy the next volume. Depending on it's quality is if you have other audiences noticing it and deciding to buy it too expanding their consumer base.
The ones at risk are the ones that are Japan in name only but no different from western studios, they're screwed because they fell into the trap of trying to appeal to everyone, even the leftists.
Japan is maybe 5 to 10 years behind.. its traditions will die slower, but us politics and shows are corrupting it for sure.
Sadly perhaps faster, at an accelerated rate. They may even copy, reengineer, and perfect wokism to depths we can't imagine. On the other hand they do still have strong family units and a long cultural history to lean on. If the West's economy crashes that will give them one escape hatch or at least slow down the corruption.

Japanese companies are generally still interested in actual currency instead of ESG points so I'm not terribly worried about them, though they will censor things specifically for Western audiences who scream at them enough.

I haven't honestly been into Japanese styled games since the SNES. The style just got more and more foreign to me as things went 3D, but that's just me personally. I don't have anything against them objectively.
