They'll probably survive fine because a lot of Japanese companies focus on having a consistent consumer base so they'll appeal to a niche audience they'll always buy the next volume. Depending on it's quality is if you have other audiences noticing it and deciding to buy it too expanding their consumer base.

The ones at risk are the ones that are Japan in name only but no different from western studios, they're screwed because they fell into the trap of trying to appeal to everyone, even the leftists.
