"Also, Boeing's my favorite employer."
Halls of Torment leaves early access on Sept24th, but it's practically "done" at this point, that release is just a capstone 1.0.0 patch. It's a Vampire Survivors roguelike, fun little ditty with 30 minute games.
The original run of Higurashi's hilariously bad paperdolls exist, and you go for Clannad and Kanon? And... You sound like a dementia patient: "Oh, they don't make things like they used to. This supermodern newfangled iPhone 3 just doesn't look the same as my good ol' iPod, I don't know why they released it last week" "Uhh, iPhone 3 released two decades ago grandpa." "Shut up! I'll have you know that yesterday, in the Vietnam war, I beat up plenty of upstart kids like you!"
G.I.R.L. on the internet.
How the debate will go:
"I am the best. The best. Some are good but I am the best."
(Manic cackling)
"I've done the best job, she's not done a great job, low energy, but I'm high energy."
(Manic cackling)
"Is.. she even going to talk?"
(Manic cackling).
->This just in! CNN reporting live, glorious Leader Harris, hallowed be her name, has thoroughly trounced the competition, as according to our 37 polls of 1 journo on staff, 19 times out of 20, 95% confidence.
Third time's the charm?
In many in-game chats, hurling insults IS part of the advice and friendship.
You ask for advice in PoE, in example, and you've got a 50% chance of someone saying "read the item, you dense MFer, you're not illiterate, you typed here, go read it, it's literally one line long, and tells you exactly what you wanted to know.", which is perfectly accurate and helpful advice, and deters and cows disrupters from needless follow-up questions so other people who need advice can also step up and ask, only to be told to read the damn tooltips.
It also just repurposes and steals, emulates unthinking of the concequences.
Mechanical turk meets mechanical jerk.
Fun toy to play with, not fun crushing unsustainable engine of atrophy.
To quote /v/ the musical:
(But) Now the store is suffering from bloat. / Loads of games and none of them are worth a note. / When you see a game that lets you simulate a goat, / You know good games are rare.
Miles and miles of poorly executed trash. / Seeing early access just another grab for cash. / At this rate we'll see another gaming crash. / It's all just shovelware!
This has been overdue. The giant was being held up by its own corpulent mass, but it had keeled over a while ago.
They obey their Amazon Alexa, which recently as we know got in trouble for explicitly endorsing one candidate over the other. "Trump does not align with your views!", yesss, good Alexa, update the NPCs... "I cannot say anything negative about Harris." Yes.... Good Alexa...
"We put the Youth in Euthanasia!", there, thought of a trendy slogan for the Dutch. I'm sure they're proud of their decision and will broadcast that as their official country slogan coming soon.
It was so woke, so progressive! How could it have been refunded to all buyers and discontinued so soon?! Literally everything the wokists want, it catered to "the modern audience" sparing no expense!
Still sucks for Chase, 'cause they ain't getting any of that money back. They gonna repossess or lien a house? These people rent, at best. Garnishee a wage? They're robbing banks, they don't have a livelihood to garnishee.
Chase went full "high trust society", and got burned for it, assuming certain people are worthy of high trust and they weren't.
Oh no!
...Anyways...
In many places, they don't allow joggers to go through drive-throughs because it is a much higher chance of assault or robbery of the staff.
In Times New Roman 11 point font, a page is 500 words, approximately. You don't really need more info than that, your work of writing should finish when it is supposed to, not when it hits some arbitrary number.
Halls Of Torment was made by a crew of a half-dozen people over the course of two years, and made almost 5 million dollars. That's a wage of very healthy six figures each. If you were good game devs, you could do the same. Go indie!
A good and fast artist can make mint just selling commissions, and make even more licensing assets.
The fact these people are "losing their livelihoods" is unfortunate, sure, but if they're talented in a booming, rich field like this one, they'll get snapped up real quick.
"The right to a speedy trial" means before 100 years have passed.
Some still remember, I guess. Wasn't THAT long ago.
The tax database and voter database are already intertwined in many countries (it's how they know where to send voting cards to), it would on a operations-management level be relatively simple to checklist "anyone who is a net ower of taxes before the taxes already deducted step".
Personally, I think voting should cost one dollar. One dollar is nothing. Many people won't bother picking up a dollar off the ground if it is slightly out of the way, leaving it for a kid or beggar to find instead. A fountain drink costs more than a dollar in most places. If the future of your country isn't worth one dollar, you shouldn't be interacting with the future of your country. It's small enough that objectively speaking it doesn't matter, but exists enough that it would filter out all the slacktivists and leeches.
Oh yes, he'd have to be a villain in such a context, or at least an antagonistic figure.
Amazon, amazon, amazon... There's this thing called "uncanny valley". You can't be too close to reality but then completely miss the mark at the last furlong. If you have a black gay disabled British monarch, you gotta also make him a lightning wizard bloodmage, who can shapeshift (and that one just happens to be his preferred form).
Then you get to have your ridiculous royals, but it more firmly separates the series from reality, backing away from the History uncanny valley. No one cares if you have a medieval England styled show, only if you have a medieval England historic show.
Praise the sketchy russian copied version of the websites!
Strictly speaking, they're simply copyright infringing Aniwave, it's pure pirate-on-pirate action. If you steal from a thief, you did not steal from the original owner of the object, and we know how much these companies like to pretend their "digital licenses" are real-world physical limited objects.
Some do what the official subs do, and "localize" the official subs into proper subs.
There is supposed to be free movement between nations in the EU, like crossing state lines in the USA. A core part of being a member of the United, is going about wherever you feel. If the migrants feel like seeing Brussels, well, then they feel like seeing Brussels.
Simple as that. If there's an issue, forbid free movement between areas, or forbid the people you don't want free-moving.
