I finished Super Metroid a week ago and I loved it. I've been a fan of the Metroid series since Metroid Prime 2 came out almost 20 years ago, and I now understand why this one was so influential. The gameplay and the bosses were great, and the soundtrack was sublime. I'm embarrassed to say that I just found out that my favorite tracks from Metroid Prime were remixes. I just started playing Metroid: Zero Mission, because I don't feel like re-playing the original Metroid, that one was way too tedious the first time.

I also started playing Fallout 4 for the second time. I played it the first time back when it came out on the Xbox, but I found it so boring and ugly that I dropped it halfway. Now that I have a nice computer, I added all the mods I wanted to make it a little bit better. It's still a shitty game when compared to all the other Fallouts, but since it was a gift, I might as well show some appreciation.

On the spicy side of things, I'm currently "playing" through Amakano [アマカノ], which I bought because my favorite VA has one of the main roles, and the other VAs are quite likable. I actually find it quite boring, since it's just a Visual Novel with no real gameplay, but it's good Japanese practice. It's just a lovey-dovey story in a winter town designed to melt your heart.

The other one I'm playing through is Rance IX: The Helman Revolution. Unlike the other entries in the series, this one is a tactical RPG and a lot more linear. If one plays through Mamatoto (1999), one can see all the similarities in the story and the gameplay. The gameplay itself is pretty easy for an experienced gamer like me, and the story so far is decent. The best girls get a ton of scenes and a fair amount of development. The true best girl (Rance) is a bit softer this time, and the most awful shit is optional and you get a warning, which I like as I really don't want to see my girls get gangraped, tortured, killed, etc. I'm playing it in Japanese, just like all the others, because I refuse to give attention or money to the tranny localizers in charge of most translations. Besides, St*iner is a faggot and he can go fuck himself.

Rance 02 is more of a remaster than a remake, meaning that the puzzles and the gameplay are quite dated. There’s no new content other than the BGM. Don’t skip it, because a ton of recurring characters get introduced in it. If you get stuck, look at a walkthrough, the game isn’t long at all when compared to the third one.

I’ll look into Full Metal Daemon. I prefer actual games over VNs, but if the story is good I’ll buy it (after trying it out, of course 🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️).

As for Sekiro, thanks for the tip. I noticed that relying on one thing like blocking or dodging would get me nowhere, but I hadn’t seen the perks of being so aggressive.

I just upgraded my computer, now I can play some of the newer games. I was on 10 year old hardware, and I was starting to get tired of all the shitty graphics. Along with the new parts I bought Elden Ring, Sekiro, Ready or Not, Killer7 and the Yakuza trilogy.

Throughout the whole year I've been playing through the Rance Series to improve my Japanese. 03, 4, 4.1, 4.2, Kichikuou, 5D, 6, Sengoku and finally Quest. Kichikuou Rance and Sengoku Rance were supremely enjoyable, mainly because I'm weak against strategy games, but I also love me some keks and it is one of the funniest series I have ever played, and I now understand why Sengoku is considered a "God Game". Rance 03 and 6 were pretty enjoyable as RPGs, and I'm still playing through Quest. 5D is one of the weirdest games ever. My Japanese skills now let me read even novels, and I cannot thank these games enough. A warning to those wanting to play them: You must have a really strong stomach for some games, Sengoku in particular.

Other hehoge I played were Beat Blades Haruka (Way too stimulating for me, I cannot play that shit), Toushin Toshi (Pretty fun for a 30 year old game, too bad it runs like dogshit) and Mamatoto (The gameplay and the hero's scenes were good, the villain is really interesting).

I finally finished Dark Souls, my personal game of the year. I also played Dark Souls II, my disappointment of the year, which was a pain in the ass due to the artificial difficulty. I didn't actually finish it because I thought it had cloud saves, but I discovered that it didn’t after formatting my hard drive. I was like 80% in, and I refuse to go through that slog again. I recently started Sekiro, all in Japanese, and I like it so far.

As for multiplayer games, Valorant and COD: Warzone 2 were the main ones. I've been playing Valorant less time each session because I only play it with my friends, and the sweatier ones don't play as much as before. We win a lot on Warzone 2, so it's still fun. I played Lost Ark for a couple weeks, but gave up because I don't have time to grind through such a boring game, I feel like my friend scammed me when I downloaded that garbage. We also played Fall Guys, Ready or Not, and Project Winter.

I also have a message for those who play Japanese games: Remember that you are getting an inferior product 90% of the time if you play the translated versions. It's never too late to start learning the moonrunes, but the sooner the better. Globohomo is putting a ton of pressure on the far east, and I fear they will crack within the next 10 years.

Happy New Year to all!

I agree, but the sentence is referring to the output of the facility. Is it no longer an energy storage system if you don’t mention the capacity? If I say I have a 5 kW battery, and I am referring to its power, is my sentence incorrect?

RamonBorrell 1 point ago +1 / -0

It says “energy storage” because that is the purpose of the facility. It’s not an “energy output” facility. The sentence they wrote is correct.

It's the right term, that's the output of the facility. From Wikipedia: "The system is capable of producing 182.5 MW for four hours, for a total of 730 MWh of capacity."

This website has a great guide and a ton of resources to help you get started.

This video has another good breakdown on what to do. The channel itself is pretty good. I would recommend you watch his series on the Genki books if you get your hands on them (there are pdfs out there you can acquire for free).

This guy is a cunt at times but some of his videos are really good.

The important thing is to make a habit out of studying, as willpower alone won't be enough for the long journey ahead. The book Atomic Habits is a good one that can give you some tips on how to build and maintain habits.

  1. She's cute and I love her design. Small frame but not flat, long purple hair, the cowlick. The ninja clothes are great, too.
  2. I like how she sometimes plays the straight man to Rance's antics.
  3. She's feminine and is not a shameless seductress like other girls. I love how she does many things while being absolutely embarrassed; her vow of loyalty to Lia and her clumsiness throw her into interesting situations.
  4. When her usually stoic self breaks down and her true feelings come out it makes me want to protect her. Getting to that point requires some bullying though, which is nice in moderate quantities.

It’s true. I read manga and watch anime in Japanese all the time, but I used to struggle with books and VNs, the stories were too boring for me to push through with all the gaps in my language ability. I played the first Rance once I found out that Konosuba and others had been inspired by it, and I found the series to be incredibly compelling.

Sure, the titties are great, but it’s the gameplay, the story, the music, etc. that really drive me to keep on studying.

I play all these games in Japanese to further my understanding of the language, no tranny localizations for me. All of them are developed by Alicesoft, and I think the eroge industry has a ton of soul, unlike the corporate trash that gets published nowadays.

Rance VI: The Collapse of Zeth - Erotic JRPG. The story is really good, the gameplay is standard for JRPGs but with some unique mechanics, some of them good, others bizarre. The music is top notch. The H-scenes range from good to great. The girls are all cute in their own way, and my boy Rance is still a lovable dork despite all the evil things he does. Kanami is best girl, as always, and I wish I had a friend like Rocky.

闘神都市(Toushin Toshi) - Old as balls erotic JRPG. Clunky but easy. The story is fine, the boss mechanics are interesting, and the scenes are meh. Running the game is a pain in the ass, since I have to change the virtual floppy discs between dungeons and it has a memory leak, which kills the game every 20 minutes or so. Gotta save often.

超昂大戦 - Japanese erotic gacha. I only play this because of one VA and a couple characters. The main story is shounen-level, but the special events and the character stories are interesting. The music is great, the gameplay is generic. All the characters have a lovey-dovey scene and a rape scene, but I refuse to watch them due to the brutality and to avoid the mental damage they deal. I seriously don’t wanna know what the writers take to come up with all the scenes.

I guarantee that Japanese entertainment will be mostly neutered by 2030. Many of the OG creators who fight back against globohomo will be retired by then. I follow a ton of them and they often express their disappointment and confusion towards the inclusion of darkies and homos in media.

Ironically, I think the erotic entertainment industry has the potential to survive the degeneracy, because the artists are very passionate and they are already in the margins of society.

Anime Recommendations: Fist of the North Star, Trigun, Ghost in the Shell: Standalone Complex, Monster, Legend of the Galactic Heroes.

Pure, unadulterated drivel. Every single paragraph is filled with convenient half-truths, absurd neologisms, or complete lies. I lost a few braincells just by skimming through this “article”.

I don’t think so. Japs have been using the terms “ass-pussy” and “mouth-pussy” for a couple decades at least. ケツマンコ and クチマンコ are commonly used in erotic works, including games, porn manga, books and maybe even AVs.

Take the nihongo pill and learn to read moon runes. Forgo the need for tranny localizers or awkward translations.

Philosophy professor, likely a faggot and a commie. The neighborhoods getting filled with American immigrants were already shitholes full of champagne socialists, but it’s bad this time because they’re not the ones enjoying the cheap cost of living.

I guarantee that 95% of the service industry workers in those locations live in the poorest neighborhoods of the city and commute for at least 3 hours every day. Poor people are not being displaced. The ones I feel sorry for are the ones that have been living there for generations, but most of them are probably renting out their houses for some easy money.

Nothing worth doing is easy. An hour or two every day over a couple years will get you to a pretty good level. If you suck at kanji, I personally recommend the Remembering the Kanji series by James Heisig combined with a spaced repetition program like Anki.

I recently finished Dark Souls for the second time after I cleared it for the first time almost a decade ago. The gameplay holds up, but the performance issues were annoying (Blighttown).

I play Valorant because it's the only game I can consistently play with my RL friends. Since I am pretty good at the game, I can fool around with meme strats and throw shit at randoms.

On the weekends I've been playing Brutal King Rance (鬼畜王ランス) and Beat Blades Haruka (超昂閃忍ハルカ) in Japanese to mine sentences and acquire new words. Brutal King Rance is incredibly fun and has some very amusing side stories. Beat Blades Haruka is not nearly as fun and is too centered on the sex scenes which is somewhat off-putting. On the plus side, I get to listen to 風音様's sweet, sweet voice, which outweighs any issues I have with the game.

Just learn Japanese and avoid the retarded localizations. I would rather struggle through a game using machine translation (not that I need to) than give these trannies or their works an ounce of my attention, let alone my money.

The translator market is completely saturated with trannies that are willing to work for pennies, probably since they are so mentally ill that they live with their parents and don't really have to pay the bills. They resent their work and their customers, while feeling like saviors illuminating the unwashed masses with their knowledge. Professionals with integrity and respect for the things they work on won't bother with the shitty pay.

I remember the leaked MangaGamer discord logs that showed how much they hated the Rance series, despite being one of their biggest money-makers. I am glad I started that series without touching any translations, as it has become one of my favorite ones.

As mentioned in the linked thread, these fuckers operate like a cartel, and the nip companies are none the wiser since they don't really interact with the western fans.

The black "population" of Japan is insignificant, as it should be (non-existent would be preferable). And that's on top of the fact that most Japanese have never even seen a non-Japanese person in real life.

Having darkies in all the media serves the purpose of brainwashing and demoralizing the population. It erodes the sense of reality that normal people have so they start thinking "maybe my instincts are wrong, and charcoal men can partake in civilization".

Besides, the stories depicted in anime and manga are usually filled with beautiful or cute characters, as well as having ideal worlds. God's charred creations are not pretty to look at, ugly doesn't sell, and perfect worlds have no room for them. If you see one of these orcs in it, and its existence is not shown to be barbaric or played for laughs, it's probably pozzed and should be avoided.
