The key takeaway is that these 2 met on Grindr, a gay dating app in case anyone is unaware. IMO that belongs in the title OP. The article doesn't say but it's possible that this was part of a sick fetish on both sides. It wouldn't be the first time. There are a couple of posts here documenting that kind of thing happening.
Bro, it's not just Grindr that has issues with wackjobs and nonces prowling around. That said, I still hope that Grindr (and every other online dating/hook up app) goes under.
So I had heard about Grindr on the Internet. It's not really shocking that fags would meet on an app for sex, since they have been doing so in parks and public bathrooms and whatnot for years.
Someone in my family brought up Tinder when it first came out, and I was like "Is that grindr for straight people?" I was a bit incredulous that straight people would behave that way. Of course now this is taken for granted.

Okay, this is officially the weirdest game of Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon that I've ever played.
Now that I've gotten that joke out of the way, I'm seeing a lot of parallels between this case and Jeffrey Dahmer, as well as that cannibalism case in Germany in the early 2000s.
